  • Publication number: 20080262363
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide systems and methods for patient monitoring using a mobile workstation and one or more patient monitors. Certain embodiments include selecting a patient monitor via a mobile physiological monitoring workstation; acquiring physiological data from the patient monitor; and displaying the physiological data at the mobile physiological monitoring workstation. The data is transmitted over a network from the patient monitor to the mobile physiological monitoring workstation without a dedicated connection between the mobile physiological monitoring workstation and the patient monitor. Certain embodiments include at least one patient monitor capable of obtaining and transmitting physiological data for a patient; a mobile physiological monitoring workstation receiving physiological data; and a network enabling exchange of physiological data between the at least one patient monitor and the workstation.

  • Publication number: 20080194950
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for operation of an ultrasound system using a remote control. Certain embodiments provide an ultrasound system operable by remote control. The ultrasound system includes an ultrasound scanner configured to obtain image data in at least one ultrasound imaging mode. The system also includes a remote control configured to remotely issue commands for operation of the ultrasound scanner. The remote control is separate from and in communication with the ultrasound scanner. The remote control includes a plurality of controls corresponding to controls of the ultrasound scanner. The remote control also includes a transmitter configured to send/receive one or more commands to/from the ultrasound scanner. Additionally, the remote control includes a processor configured to receive input from the plurality of controls and translate the input to one or more ultrasound scanner commands for transmission to the ultrasound scanner via the transmitter.

  • Publication number: 20080009695
Abstract: A system and method for beginning an exam procedure in multiple modality systems during the performance of a physiology procedure. Upon the initiation of a physiology procedure in a physiology workstation, the physiology workstation automatically generates an exam notification message to each modality system required during the performance of the physiology procedure. Upon receiving the start exam notification message, each modality system automatically generates a patient information query back to the physiology workstation requesting patient information and exam information. The physiology workstation returns identical patient information and exam information to each of the modality systems, thereby ensuring that each of the modality systems is operating utilizing the same patient information and exam information.
