    Abstract: An existing shower is retrofitted with a novel shower panel that uses the existing on/off water pressure and temperature control valve without any re-plumbing behind the shower wall. The shower panel includes a support frame, a diverter valve, a plurality of water jets, a side showerhead, a hand nozzle and an overhead showerhead. The support frame has an open side that faces the shower wall. A first tube connects the diverter valve to the plurality of water jets. A second tube is connected to the diverter valve at a first end and has a threaded connector at the second end. The threaded connector is adapted to connect to a shower water source after the existing shower pipe is removed. The first tube has a smaller diameter than does the second tube. The plurality of water jets are arranged within a square that is twenty-five centimeters on a side.

The olefin based polymer may be formed from a metathesis polymerization of an olefin or the chain polymerization of a cycloolefin. A method is also disclosed including the formation of a solution for coating a photoconductive surface. The method involves the addition of the olefin based polymer to a solvent followed by coating of a photoconductive surface which coating may then serve as a charge transport layer within an image forming device.

    Abstract: A polyurethane-silica hybrid, or polyurethane-silica/silsesquioxane hybrid overcoat improves the life of the photoconductor drum without significantly altering the electrophotographic properties of the PC drum. Wear can be caused by a variety of factors, which include contact with the cleaner blade, paper, or intermediate transfer member or by erosion or scratching from toner components. The combination of hard and soft segments allows for a tough, wear resistant material with the added flexibility to prevent erosion from toner particles that are swept along the surface of the drum by the cleaner blade. A benzophenone ultraviolet absorber chemically linked to the silsesquioxane appears to inhibit room light fatigue and improve the electrostatic cycling of the PC drum. The overcoat also inhibits crazing.

    Abstract: Photoconductors are disclosed having an overcoat layer of silsesquioxane substituted with 4-[3-(triethoxysilylpropoxy]-2-hydroxybenzophenone. The degree of substitution is believed not critical. Similarly, the thickness of the coating is not critical and may vary according to the wear anticipated, as well as the electrical requirements of the specific application. Improvements are realized using this material in comparison to unsubstituted silsesquioxane.
