Metrics for a job of the workflow run on the cloud computing system are received. The job is run on the cloud computing system based on a schedule and a cloud computing infrastructure configuration. An update to the cloud computing infrastructure configuration is generated based on the metrics. The cloud computing infrastructure configuration is automatically updated based on the update, thereby providing an updated cloud computing infrastructure configuration. A next scheduled run of the job on the cloud computing system is based on the updated cloud computing infrastructure configuration.
