  • Patent number: 8601502
Abstract: Various embodiments of apparatus, systems and/or methods are described for providing user generated content relating to a subject, and collecting polling data relating to the subject, on multiple disparate communication devices. User generated content is received from one or more disparate communication devices and provided for presentation on at least one of the communication devices. Polling data is also received from at least one of the end-users of the communication devices viewing the user generated content, and tabulated to generate poll results displayable on the communication devices.

  • Patent number: 8488587
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for providing automatic resource distribution is presented. A number of ports of a resource to hold (H) as needed for each Multi Media Platform (MPP) is determined. Further, the maximum number of ports of a resource that can be acquired (M)—M?H of which are borrowed from other MPPs—for each MPP is also determined. The ports are then allocated for an MPP from at least one server in accordance with the number of ports to hold as needed and the number of ports that can be borrowed.

  • Publication number: 20130043262
Abstract: A container sleeve designed to be fitted about a beverage container and formed of a single piece of material. The container sleeve includes a first body portion, a second body portion, a first connector and a second connector. The top edges of the body portions facing one another prior to the container sleeve being formed for fitting about the beverage container. The top edges defining a top opening of the container sleeve when the container sleeve is formed for fitting about the beverage container. The first connector is integrally connected to the first side edges of the first and second body portions and the second connector is integrally connected to the second side edges of the first and second body portions.

  • Patent number: 8302249
Abstract: A vacuum cleaning system which has particular application to the oil-field industry. The system includes a vacuum unit for suctioning material from a surface to recycle, reclaim or cleanup said material. The system also includes a collection and discharge unit operable to automatically discharge, into an open atmosphere, an amount of the suctioned material collected while suctioning continues by the vacuum unit. The automatic discharging cycle of the collection and discharge unit allows drilling fluid to be rapidly vacuumed up and discharged to minimize settlement of debris in the collected material.

  • Patent number: 8191278
Abstract: A combination of a retractable tape measure assembly with folding front section (s) includes a housing assembly and a reel rotatably mounted in the housing assembly. An elongated blade formed of a ribbon of metal having one end connected to the reel is constructed and arranged with respect to the housing assembly to extend from a position tangential to the reel outwardly through a spaced opening in the housing assembly. A coil spring formed of a ribbon of metal and pivoting front section (s) made of same metal has a construction and arrangement between the housing assembly and the reel and at the pivot points to rotate the reel in the housing assembly smoothly in a direction to wind up the elongated blade when extending outwardly of the housing assembly opening in a normal concavo-convex cross-section configuration onto the reel. A blade holding assembly is constructed and arranged to be manually actuated to hold the blade in any position of extension.

  • Publication number: 20120047758
Abstract: FIGS. 1,2, and 3 show front and side views of an improved tape measure having a hinges or pivots (16) making segments or sections or tip measures (14). This pivoting action gives means to measure horizontally in out of reach areas. Comprised of front tip (12) that is the beginning of the tape measure and zero inches. Tip measure (14) is a first means of segmentation. An alternative is a plurality of sections along the tape measure. The pivot (16) allows movement in any direction at section's back tip (18). Angle hold (20a) and (20b) give traction or grip facing each other on the base measure (22) and the tip measure (14). The tape measure when in straight position will recoil into the housing (24). FIGS. 4 and 5 show exploded and a close view at pivot (16). Viewable is the Lock lever (26) and wedge (27) attached to bolt (28) that go through washers 30a and 30b and through pivot (16) of both segments and or tip measures (14) and base measure (22).
