  • Publication number: 20130233334
Abstract: A hair volumizing device is disclosed which creates a horizontal or vertical lift to the hair adding volume to any style. The device is positioned underneath the hair and features colors which camouflage with the hair so that the device cannot easily be seen by others. The device features a hook and loop fastener attachment mechanism on the top and bottom side of the device that grasp the hair and hold the device in its desired position. The hook and loop fastener mechanism allows the device to be inserted and removed without damaging and removing the hair.

  • Patent number: 7367449
Abstract: A case for carrying and storing flexible objects including elongated and small objects in a manner which prevents or reduces the objects from becoming tangled. The case is a two sided case with a central plate or base with each side having an openable lid. The lids are hinged at one side of the case and the lids and base include a latching mechanism for each lid. The exterior of the lids are rigid while the interior of the base and the lids include flexible materials that secure the objects within the case when the lids are closed and provide ease of access to objects when the a lid is open. The latching mechanism includes cooperating elements that permit opening one lid only when that lid is above the base and prevent opening a lid when another lid is open. A locking system secures the lids in closed position.

  • Publication number: 20030220663
Abstract: A lancet device for drawing blood from a digit of a patient. The lancet device is particularly directed to a disposable, pre-armed or armable device including an element for constricting the finger or digit of a patient or user from which the blood is to be drawn. The device includes a portion that functions in a tourniquet manner to increase the blood supply in the area where the lancet is to create an incision. The lancet portion and the structure of the device are designed to produce a substantially painless incision in the patient. The biasing elements of the device provide for forcing the lancet portion toward the target area and for retrieving the lancet into the device after an incision has been made. After use in making an incision, the parts of the device that contact the patient's blood are withdrawn from possible inadvertent contact thus avoiding a chance of contamination of the user with the patient's blood.

  • Patent number: 6082422
Abstract: The combination money clip and card holder comprises a one-piece element having a rectangular base with two inwardly-oriented L-shaped brackets formed along longitudinal edges thereof. The rectangular base also contains a stop, formed on one of the transverse edges thereof. Together with the rectangular base, the L-shaped brackets comprise a channel for receiving flexible cards, such as credit cards, whereas the stop prevents the cards from being inserted too far into the channel. The edges of the base supporting the L-shaped brackets are tapered in the direction of the stop to provide means for removably capturing the cards inserted into the channel. The holder also includes a resilient money clip formed on the opposite side of the base. The money clip is formed so that it is biased toward the base, thus allowing bank notes inserted between the clip and the base to be removably retained therein.
