  • Publication number: 20230166598
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle comprises a controller comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions. The system comprises first, second, and third inputs configured to be manipulated by an operator. The system comprises first, second, and third displays adjacent the first, second, and third inputs, respectively. The first, second and third displays are configured to show first, second, and third indicia, respectively. Manipulation of the first input by the operator transmits a selection input signal to the controller. The controller receives the selection input signal. The processor compares the selection input signal to the instructions in the non-transitory computer-readable medium, transmits a selection output signal to the second and third displays, removes the second and third indicia from the second and third displays, and shows a first sub-selection indicium on the second display and a second sub-selection indicium on the third display.

  • Publication number: 20220275759
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for improving flame propagation in a combustor, particularly in a combustor for use in a power production system and method. At least one stream being passed into the combustor (e.g., a fuel, an oxidant, a diluent, a coolant, a working fluid, water, or steam) can be independently heated to a temperature that is about the autoignition temperature of the fuel or greater. Further, flame stabilization, including promoting ignition, can be improved as described herein through controlled addition of one or more NOx species into the combustor or combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 11097221
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that combine direct capture of one or more moieties from a gaseous mixture with one or both of calcium oxide production and power production. The systems and methods can utilize combinations of a capture unit, a regeneration unit, a calcination unit, a slaking unit, a heat exchange unit, a separation unit, and a power production unit. The present disclosure provides the ability to remove carbon dioxide and other moieties from air or other gaseous mixtures in a truly carbon negative manner by utilizing electricity from a power production unit that is operated in a carbon neutral or carbon negative manner and simultaneously provide useful products, such as calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide.

  • Patent number: 9919268
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for removing a pollutant from a power generation cycle that utilizes a high pressure circulating fluid. The system includes a first direct contact cooling tower configured to cool the high pressure circulating fluid and condense a fluid stream that removes SO2 from the circulating fluid. A first recirculating pump fluidly communicates with the first direct contact cooling tower. The first tower includes an outlet configured to circulate a cooled CO2 product stream, and a second direct contact cooling tower is configured to receive at least a portion of the cooled CO2 product stream from the outlet. The second direct contact cooling tower is configured to cool the CO2 product stream and condense a fluid stream that removes NOx from the CO2 product stream. A second recirculating pump fluidly communicates with the second tower. An associated method is provided.
