  • Patent number: 11127084
Abstract: Methods and systems for improving vehicular safety by notifying vehicle operators of location-based risks are provided. According to embodiments, a processing server may receive an initial location of a vehicle. Based on location data associated with the initial location, the processing server can determine the risk of an incident. The processing server can generate a notification to communicate to the vehicle operator, and the vehicle operator can assess the risk and take action to mitigate the risk, for example by relocating the vehicle. The processing server can receive updated location data for the vehicle and can determine, based on the updated location data, that the risk has been mitigated.

  • Publication number: 20210256975
Abstract: Voice command matching during testing of voice-assisted application prototypes for languages with non-phonetic alphabets is described. A visual page of an application prototype is displayed during a testing phase of the application prototype. A speech-to-text service converts a non-phonetic voice command spoken in a language with a non-phonetic alphabet, captured by at least one microphone during the testing phase of the application prototype, into a non-phonetic text string in the non-phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A phonetic language translator translates the non-phonetic text string of the voice command into a phonetic text string in a phonetic alphabet of the voice command. A comparison module compares the phonetic text string of the voice command to phonetic text strings in the phonetic alphabet of stored voice commands associated with the application prototype to identify a matching voice command. A performance module performs an action associated with the matching voice command.

  • Patent number: 11083104
Abstract: A design for the electrical infrastructure of a data center enables two different configurations to be utilized, including a distributed, redundant configuration that provides higher reliability and a non-redundant configuration that provides higher capacity. In the distributed, redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from at least two different power supply systems. This enables load shifting when a power supply system becomes unavailable, which can have the effect of increasing server reliability. In the non-redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from only one power supply system. Load shifting is not utilized in the non-redundant configuration, which eliminates the need to maintain reserve capacity and thereby increases capacity. Advantageously, it is possible to switch between these two configurations without making any internal changes to the data center other than modifying connections between sets of server racks and power buses.

  • Patent number: 11079484
Abstract: A method for localizing a device. The method is performed by a communication device. The method includes measuring a phase of a signal that the communication device has received from the device, the signal having a first frequency; measuring a phase of at least one further signal that the communication device has received from the device; the at least one further signal having a second frequency, determining a phase pattern of a measured phase versus frequency, pattern matching the phase pattern with each reference phase pattern of a plurality of pre-determined reference phase patterns. Each reference phase pattern is associated with a distance between the communication device and the further communication device.
