  • Patent number: 11157825
Abstract: A method includes receiving data from a sensor over time. The data comprises a plurality of values that are each indicative of a sensed condition at a unique time. The method also includes determining a real-time value, a mid-term moving average, and a long-term moving average based on the data and determining a most-recent combined average by averaging the real-time value, the mid-term moving average, and the long-term moving average. The method further includes determining an upper setpoint by adding an offset value to the most-recent combined average and determining a lower setpoint by subtracting the offset value to the most-recent combined average. The method also includes transmitting an alert based on a determination that a most recent value of the data is either greater than the upper setpoint or lower than the lower setpoint.

  • Patent number: 9670128
Abstract: A method for preparing an aromatic di-ester includes combining an aromatic di-acid and a linear or branched C4-C13 alcohol to form a mixture. The method also includes heating the mixture from a first temperature (T1) to a second temperature (T2) without a catalyst present in the mixture. The method further includes combining a titanium catalyst with the mixture after the mixture is at the second temperature (T2). The method further includes increasing pressure from a first pressure (P1) to a second pressure (P2) after the mixture is at the second temperature (T2). The method further includes increasing the temperature of the mixture from the second temperature (T2) to a third temperature (T3) while maintaining the second pressure (P2).

  • Publication number: 20110123969
Abstract: A portable refusal skills training educational tool including an interactive electronic system within an enclosure, and method practicing refusal skills employing the educational tool. The interactive electronic system includes (i) a means within the enclosure for periodically generating a perceptible proposal to participate in addictive behavior, (ii) a speech recognition system effective for receiving and identifying a verbal refusal statement spoken in response to a generated proposal, and (iii) a reporting mechanism. The reporting mechanism includes at least one of (A) a means for reiterating perceptible proposals to participate in addictive behavior until the verbal refusal statement is received and identified in response to a proposal, (B) a means for generating a perceptible positive-reinforcement signal when the verbal refusal statement is received and identified in response to a proposal, and (C) a means for recording data useful in evaluating responses to proposals.

  • Publication number: 20070293935
Abstract: An intraluminal stent delivery and deployment system and a method of delivering and deploying an intraluminal stent are described. The stent delivery and deployment system includes a catheter, an expandable stent disposed about a portion of the catheter, and at least one anchoring device attached to the catheter. The anchoring device has a proximal portion disposed distal of a midpoint of the stent. The anchoring device is deployed and engages a body vessel before the stent is expanded to a fully expanded configuration, thereby anchoring at least the catheter to the body vessel during the expansion of the stent.
