  • Patent number: 11868956
Abstract: Systems and techniques for detecting events involving a user that occurred during a session in a facility, and performing a holistic, session-based analysis of the events to determine items taken by the user from the facility. An inventory management system may initially analyze the events to determine a hypothesis for a result of each respective event and a probability that the hypotheses are accurate. An initial listing of the items determined to be taken by the user may be generated along with probabilities that the items were taken. Upon determining that a probability an item was taken is lower than a threshold, the management system may select an algorithm to process an event in the session that is likely to resolve uncertainty in the initial listing. The management system may iteratively process events until a final listing represents the items taken by the user with an allowable probability.

  • Patent number: 11044102
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for detecting certificate pinning may include (i) attempting, by a security network proxy, to break a network connection between a client device and a server device, (ii) detecting, by the security network proxy, whether the network connection between the client device and the server device is certificate pinned based on a result of attempting to break the network connection, and (iii) performing a security action by the security network proxy to protect the client device at least in part based on detecting whether the network connection between the client device and the server device is certificate pinned. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190335312
Abstract: Described herein are methods and wireless devices for proximity in-app sensor pairing for science education. In one example, a computer implemented method comprises initiating a science software application on a wireless device, automatically displaying a sensor connection display on a user interface of the wireless device with the sensor connection display including selectable available sensors, obtaining wireless sensor connection information for sensors that are advertising their availability to the wireless device, and sorting the available sensors by the wireless sensor connection information including received signal strength indicator (RSSI) information.

  • Publication number: 20140079281
Abstract: Architectures and techniques for augmenting content on an electronic device are described herein. In particular implementations, a user may use a portable device (e.g., a smart phone, tablet computer, etc.) to capture images of an environment, such as a room, outdoors, and so on. As the images of the environment are captured, the portable device may send information to a remote device (e.g., server) to determine whether augmented reality content is associated with a textured target in the environment (e.g., a surface or portion of a surface). When such a textured target is identified, the augmented reality content may be sent to the portable device. The augmented reality content may be displayed in an overlaid manner on the portable device as real-time images are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20130344455
Abstract: A matrix ring comprising a ring body and a pair of opposing tips mounted to the ends of the ring body. Each of the tips may be movably coupled to the ring body about an axis of rotation. Optionally, or alternatively, the tips may be removably mounted to the ring body. For example, the ring body may include a pair of opposed spaced apart ends each with a tine mounted at each end. Further, at least a portion of the matrix ring may be formed from a bulk amorphous alloy.
