The electronic ticket may include graphical depictions of the electronic ticket in locked, redeemable, and redeemed states, and a ticket beacon address. The processor of the mobile device may display the graphical depiction of the electronic ticket in the redeemable state when the radio of the mobile device receives the broadcasted beacon address from the beacon device that matches the ticket beacon address, and the processor may change the electronic ticket from the redeemable state to the redeemed state by no longer receiving the matching broadcasted beacon address or response to input received through the touch screen display of the mobile device.
