  • Patent number: 10286765
Abstract: A tonneau cover system includes a cover assembly coupled to first and second side rails. The cover assembly includes a cover disposed over and coupled to a frame, a latch mechanism coupled to the frame and having a catch biased toward a latch position to secure the cover to the first side rail and retractable to an unlatch position to release the cover from the first side rail, a release device coupled to the frame and latch mechanism and actuatable to move the catch to the unlatch position, and an adjustment mechanism coupled to the latch mechanism. The adjustment mechanism has a first portion coupled to the catch and a second portion interacting with the first portion to adjust a vertical position of the catch relative to the frame transverse to a width-wise axis defined between the side rails, with the first and/or second portions forming a sloped profile.

  • Patent number: 10189339
Abstract: A tonneau cover system includes a plurality of panels coupled to first and second side rails. The panels include a first panel, a second panel, a third panel, and a spacer bar with the spacer bar fixed to the side rails. The first panel pivots relative to the spacer while the spacer remains fixed to the side rails. The third panel pivots relative to the second panel to permit the third panel to be located over the second panel while the spacer remains fixed to the side rails to define an intermediate folded position. The cover further includes a hinge assembly mounted between the second panel and the spacer to enable the second and third panels to pivot relative to the spacer as a unit from the intermediate position to a final position located at least over the spacer bar while the spacer bar remains fixed to the side rails.

  • Patent number: 9908391
Abstract: A tonneau cover system for covering a space. The system includes a frame having rails. A cover is disposed over the frame for covering the space. A block, a receiver, an anchor and a latch are all coupled to the frame. A mechanism is disposed between the block and the receiver and provides adjustment to the frame by moving the receiver, the anchor and the latch as a unit between an initial adjustment position and a final adjustment position. The mechanism also provides tension to the cover when the latch is engaging the frame.

  • Patent number: 9827839
Abstract: A tonneau cover system for a vehicle having a cargo box includes a striker which is adapted to be fixed to the cargo box along with a cover disposed over the cargo box when the cover is in a closed position. Moreover, the cover includes a latch mounted to the frame. The latch engages the striker when the cover is in the closed position. The cover further includes a link which extends from the latch along the frame and a handle coupled to the latch in order to move the latch into a released position which disengages the striker. Finally, the cover includes a coupler which is coupled to the handle. The coupler moves from a first position to a second position and responds to movement of the handle with the link moving relative to the frame in order to facilitate movement of the latch into the released position.

  • Patent number: 9765605
Abstract: Re-treatment of a formation having a wellbore, which can be an open hole or a cased hole lined with casing, involves deploying a tubing string in the casing having tools disposed at intervals thereon. The tools position on the tubing string, and the tubing string with the tools thereon is inserted into the casing. Biasing rings of the tools passively engage with the casing. The annulus is accessed between the tubing string and the casing at the intervals between the tools. For example, sliding sleeves on the tubing string can be opened (selectively), or new plug and perforation operations can be used to create perforations in the tubing string at desired intervals between the tools. With access achieved, retreatment is pumped down the tubing string, out the access to the annulus, and at least partially sealed by the engaged rings in the intervals between the tools.

  • Patent number: 9593553
Abstract: A sliding sleeve opens with a deployed ball. The sleeve has a seat disposed in the housing, and the seat has segments biased outward from one another with a C-ring or other biasing element. Initially, the seat has an expanded state in the sliding sleeve so that the seats segments expand outward against the housing's bore. When an appropriately sized ball is deployed downhole, the ball engages the expanded seat. Fluid pressure applied against the seated ball moves the seat into the inner sleeve's bore. As this occurs, the seat contracts, which increases the engagement area of the seat with the ball. Eventually, the seat reaches the shoulder in the inner sleeve so that pressure applied against the seated ball now moves the inner sleeve in the housing to open the sliding sleeve's flow port.

  • Patent number: 9279307
Abstract: A bridge plug can be deployed downhole and retrieved using a retrieval tool disposed on jointed or coiled tubing or on another bridge plug. Internally, the bridge plug has a sleeve that is movable on a stem of the plug's tailpiece. When in a first position, the sleeve prevents fluid communication through ports in the stem so that circulated fluid from the retrieval tool can be used to clear debris from the plug during retrieval. When the retrieval tool engages the sleeve in the plug, pulling up on the tool moves the sleeve to an intermediate position in which fluid pressure is equalized across the plug. Further pulling up on the tool locks the sleeve in a further position on the stem so that circulated fluid from the retrieval tool will pass directly to the stem's ports. Movement of the sleeve by the retrieval tool also releases the engaged slips and packing element on the bridge plug's mandrel.

  • Patent number: 8522936
Abstract: A sliding sleeve for frac operations or the like has a housing, a sleeve, and a shock absorber. The sleeve is movable within the housing's internal passage relative to flow ports. The shock absorber, which can have a cylindrical body, positions partially in the sleeve's internal passage and has a distal end that extends beyond the sleeve. A lip on the sleeve's end is engageable with the internal shoulder. When a ball is dropped on the sleeve's ball seat and pumped fluid forces the sleeve to an open position, the shock absorber absorbs the movement of the sleeve. To absorber the movement, the shock absorber breaks one or more shear pin connections with the sleeve, interposes its lip between the sleeve's distal end and the internal shoulder, and fractures at least a portion of its distal end from the impact with the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20130035959
Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking medical care are described. In an example embodiment, a method for ambulatory care tracking, comprises entering a chief complaint into an electronic file in a computing system, assigning a chief complaint point value based on the chief complaint, associating the chief complaint point value to the electronic file in the computing system, determining a further point value based on patient education, assigning the further point value based on the determination, adding, using a processor, the further point value to the chief complaint point value to generate a total point value, determining, using a processor, a level of service based on the total point value, and communicating, over an electromagnetic communication channel, the level of service to a billing system.
