  • Publication number: 20150366729
Abstract: Described are chairs having a seat with a sitting location above the floor, a base that sits on a floor, a lift connecting the seat and the base, the lift capable of moving the seat up and down from the sitting location to a lower location at the floor, and a control system operating the lift. The control system allows an occupant of the chair to move the seat between its sitting location and the lower location at the floor to enable the occupant to pick up or place an item on the floor while sitting in the chair and thereafter to move the seat upwardly.

  • Publication number: 20150350656
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for dynamically scaling a clock and/or voltage of a video core. The method may include buffering video frames in an input buffer queue and encoding the video frames from the input buffer queue with a video encoder to generate encoded video frames. An input buffer queue is monitored to generate an indication of a fullness of the buffer queue and a high input-threshold level is established for the input buffer queue and a low input-threshold level for the input buffer queue. A clock frequency of the video encoder is increased in response to the indication of the fullness reaching the high input-threshold for the buffer queue and the clock frequency of the video decoder is decreased in response to the indication of the fullness reaching the low input-threshold for the buffer queue.

  • Publication number: 20070048474
Abstract: A paper-roll core that is a soluble, disposable carrier for cleaning and/or disinfecting chemicals. The paper-roll cores are toilet paper roll cores and paper towel roll cores and are rapidly soluble in water and may release cleansers, disinfectants, colors, etc., upon dissolving. Described are: methods of using, manufacturing, advertising, and distributing the paper-roll cores; and methods of advertising and distributing such paper-roll cores to children, who will particularly enjoy the novelty; and methods of modifying existing paper-roll core manufacturing equipment to manufacture soluble cleanser-dispensing paper-roll cores.

  • Patent number: 6480921
Abstract: An improved bus system having input ports and output ports for transporting data is described. The bus system includes bus lines, switching elements, and a sequencing element. The bus lines channel data from the input ports to the output ports. The switching elements are configured to place data from the input ports onto the bus lines. Each of the switching elements enable one of a group of data to be placed on each of the bus lines simultaneously. The sequencing element selects a predetermined number of the group of data on the bus lines and sequentially directs the selected number of data to the output ports at different points in time.
