Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing an itraconazole-containing solid dispersion. The itraconazole-containing solid dispersion according to the preparing method of the present invention has both improved solubility and rapid dissolution rate so that it has an excellent bioavailability. The itraconazole-containing solid dispersion of the present invention is also independent of pH variation of human stomach so that it can minimize the absorption variation of intra- and inter-individuals. In addition, the itraconazole-containing solid dispersion according to the preparing method of the present invention is stable for a long time. The present invention also provides an economical and environment-friendly method for manufacturing an itraconazole-containing composition because the method adds a lactic acid in a solution comprising itraconazole to decrease the amount of an organic solvent needed to dissolve itraconazole.

The present invention is based on using Artemisia japonica extract, and preferably, a mixture of Artemisia japonica extract and Saururus chinensis extract as effective agent. More preferably, the present invention provides a composition for treating or preventing white spot syndrome virus, comprising Artemisia japonica extract and Saururus chinensis extract which are coated by a polymer. The present invention also provides a method for treating or preventing white spot syndrome virus of arthropod, using Artemisia japonica extract and Saururus chinensis extract which are coated by a polymer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising sibutramine free base. The present invention provides a solid dispersion wherein sibutramine free base, acid and hydrophilic polymer are uniformly dispersed and a manufacturing method thereof. The composition of the present invention has improved dissolution rate compared to conventional compositions containing sibutramine free base or sibutramine hydrochloride, and is also stable during storage and can be easily mass-produced.
