Abstract: A method and apparatus for restricting disclosure of information about a network device during a Remote Access (RA) service are provided, in which a virtual device is activated by an RA service device, a device or service for which information is to be disclosed to an external network is determined from among devices discovered by the RA service device and registered as an embedded device or service of the virtual device, a device description of the virtual device including the embedded device or service is dynamically generated, a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the RA service device, from which the device description of the virtual device is acquired, is generated and opened to a device of the other party which has remotely accessed the RA service device, and the device description of the virtual device is provided, upon receipt of a request for the device description of the virtual device through the URL.

Abstract: A service provision method in an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network is provided. A service request message is transmitted from a first user terminal to a second user terminal for requesting a service. The service request message includes global identifiers (IDs) allocated to the first user terminal and the second user terminal. A service response message is transmitted from the second user terminal to the first user terminal. A service session is established between the first user terminal and the second user terminal, when the service response message is received by the first user terminal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing communication security in a wireless network are provided. The method includes receiving from a station that intends to associate in the wireless network including an access point, first key generation information provided by the access point and second key generation information provided by the station, providing third key generation information, generating a security key using the first key generation information, the second key generation information, the third key generation information, and an initial key, and sending the third key generation information and the security key to the station.

Abstract: Provided are a universal plug and play (UPnP) method and an apparatus thereof to provide remote access service, where the method includes receiving external inputs of an identifier of a remote access server (RAS) to generate a credential and a session initiation protocol (SIP) identifier of the RAS, generating a payload of a SIP packet written in extensible markup language (XML), which includes a credential ID generated based on the identifier of the RAS and remote access transport agent (RATA) capability information, and transmitting the SIP packet to the RAS identified by the SIP identifier, where the payload of the SIP packet includes multipurpose internet mail extensions (MIME)-type information to be identified as information used to provide remote access service.

Abstract: A method is provided for resolving a collision of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses between devices connected to a first server and a second server remotely accessed in a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) remote access service. The second server receives address information of a network of the first server from the first server. The second server compares address information of a network of the second server with the received address information of the network of the first server, and determines whether a collision has occurred between addresses of the first server and the second server. A collided address is changed when the collision has occurred.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for playing back a scene using Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). A control point sends a request for a scene to be played back to a media server that stores Audio/Video (AV) content and receives the scene to be played back from the media server in response to the request. The control point receives information about supportable protocol and file format from a media renderer that will play back content, and determines a content resource, a protocol and a file format to be used for playback based on the information. The control point composes a scene to be played back based on the received scenes. The media renderer plays back the composed scene.

Abstract: A method is provided for providing input in a home network using Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). A control point sends a request for information about input capabilities to an electronic device existing in the home network, and receives the information about the input capabilities in response to the request. The control point sets an input client and an input server based on the received information about the input capabilities. The control point transmits input data received through the set input client to the set input server.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharing a bookmark, which is created by a user, with other users. In a method for sharing a bookmark in a home network, information of a bookmark for sharing in a home network device of a bookmark creator is created. The bookmark or the information of the bookmark is stored in an Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) terminal in the home network of the bookmark creator. The bookmark or the information of the bookmark is then transmitted from the IPTV terminal to an IPTV service provider.

When a request for call transmission/reception is made, a CP selects a target electronic device to/from which to transmit/receive a call from among at least one electronic device, establishes a connection for call transmission/reception between a terminal and the selected target electronic device, and controls the call transmission/reception between the terminal and the selected target electronic device.

Abstract: A remote access service is provided by receiving remote access transport agent (RATA) capability information of a home remote access server (RAS) and a remote RAS from the home RAS and the remote RAS, respectively, generating a RATA profile based on the RATA capability information, supported by the home RAS and the remote RAS, and transmitting the generated RATA profile to the home RAS and the remote RAS, respectively.

Abstract: Provided is a remote access method between a remote access client (RAC) and a remote access server (RAS) in a network comprising a network address translation (NAT) device. The method includes obtaining a transport address set (TAS) with respect to a home remote access server (RAS) from an external server; registering the obtained TAS to a transport address resolution (TAR) server; receiving an IP packet transported from a remote access client (RAC) using the registered TAS; and transporting a response packet along a transport path of the received IP packet. Thus, an RAC can remotely access an RAS in a network comprising an NAT device, and an optimum communication path can be determined.

Abstract: Disclosed are a universal plug and play (UPnP) method and a UPnP apparatus providing remote access service. The method includes receiving external inputs of an identifier of a remote access server (RAS) to generate a credential and a session initiation protocol (SIP) identifier of the RAS, generating a payload of a SIP packet including a credential identifier (ID) generated based on the identifier of the RAS, remote access transport agent (RATA) capability information, and a transport address (TA) set corresponding to candidate IP addresses to access a remote access client (RAC), and transmitting the SIP packet to the RAS.

Abstract: There is provided a multi-mode communication system which is operable according to different operating modes, such as GSM and WCDMA. The multi-mode communication system includes first and second switching units, a delta-sigma modulator, an analog-to-digital converter, sequential convolution units and a selection unit. The delta-sigma modulator samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit in one mode, into 1-bit digital signal. In another mode, the analog-to-digital converter samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit into an n-bit digital signal. The sequential convolution units multiply filter factors with the output of the delta-sigma modulator, which is inputted through the second switching unit at the first mode, and multiply PN codes by the output of the analog-to-digital converter, which is inputted through the second switching unit at the second mode, to generate WCDMA output waveforms.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for preventing duplicate saving of a resource between universal plug and play (UPnP) devices, which provide content directory service during content synchronization, are provided. The method includes receiving a change log including metadata about a changed resource from a UPnP device of a transmitter, determining whether the changed resource is a duplicate based on the received change log, and receiving and saving the changed resource according to a designated saving path based on a result of the determination.

Abstract: A method of effectively managing information shared by synchronizing between a plurality of Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) devices is provided. According to the method, all devices exchange version information of the devices at initial synchronization, and when shared information stored in some of the devices is changed, a device changing shared information transmits new version information to the other devices via an event message, so that all of the devices can maintain the latest shared information. Also, by having a counter indicating an update state of respective parts of shared information, when shared information is changed by a plurality of the UPnP devices, it is easy to recognize which part from among the respective parts of the shared information is the latest.
