The apparatus includes a message sending unit for sending a device discovery request, a message receiving unit for receiving a response message, including URI information of a P2P client, for the device discovery request, a message analyzing unit for acquiring the URI information included in the response message, and a service controller for performing a UPnP service function based on the Wi-Fi direct connection using the acquired URI information when connecting with the P2P client, wherein the device discovery request is a device discovery request of a Wi-Fi MAC layer.
