  • Publication number: 20090201215
Abstract: A quadrifilar helical antenna comprising two pairs of filars having unequal lengths and phase quadrature signals propagating thereon. A conductive H-shaped impedance matching element matches a source impedance to an antenna impedance. The impedance matching element having a feed terminal at the center thereof from which current is supplied to the two filars of each filar pair disposed about an edge of the impedance matching element and symmetric with respect to a center of the impedance matching element. • Publication number: 20080189186
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an authentication and payment system and method. The authentication and payment system of the present invention includes an issuer server, an issuer information management intermediate server, an acquirer server and a payment server. The issuer server issues, manages and operates payment means. The issuer information management intermediate server manages URL information required to access domestic and foreign issuer servers. The acquirer server performs payment approval and performs acquisition and settlement for member stores. The payment server intermediates between the issuer server and the acquirer server to provide an authentication and payment service in response to a request from a terminal of the merchant. Accordingly, the present invention can provide a safe and convenient payment process with respect to payment means, such as credit cards, electronic money or mobile phone micro payment that can be selected between a purchaser and a merchant.

  • Patent number: 7187933
Abstract: A method for assigning a channel in multi-FA CDMA mobile communication system according to the received power prevents communication quality of a FA from being inferior to that of the others by managing the interference level of the FA. The method comprises the steps of: comparing a first threshold value with received power when the base station receives a new call request; assigning a traffic channel in a first FA of the request, if the received power is less than the first threshold value, and searching a second FA of which received power is least, if not; comparing a second threshold value with the received power of the second FA; and assigning a traffic channel in the second FA if the received power is less than the second threshold value, and rejecting the request, if not.

  • Publication number: 20050024275
Abstract: An antenna structure for use in a communications device for reducing a user's SAR exposure. In addition to the conventional antenna elements, e.g., a radiating element and a ground plane, the antenna structure of the present invention comprises a conductive element for directing radio frequency energy emitted by the radiating element away from the user, thereby reducing the user's SAR exposure. The conductive element can be disposed on an interior or an exterior surface of a case enclosing the communications device.
