  • Publication number: 20260043860
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for generating an open circuit voltage (OCV) profile, and a problem to be solved is to generate an OCV profile according to a battery cell that has degraded under actual use conditions, thereby reducing errors in calculations of a state of charge (SOC), a state of health (SOH), or the like. To this end, the present disclosure provides a configuration for generating a charging profile by charging a battery cell, analyzing the charging profile to derive degradation information of the battery cell, and generating the OCV profile of the battery cell based on the degradation information.

  • Publication number: 20260036650
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a contactor diagnosis device and method, and is directed to proposing a mechanism capable of diagnosing the degree of deterioration of a contactor among circuit components constituting a battery pack, and predicting and managing a lifespan of the contactor according to the diagnosis result. To this end, the present disclosure provides a configuration of calculating a state of health (SOH) of a contactor based on one or more of the number of times of operation for each power condition, the number of times of operation for each temperature change, and an operating time of the contactor, and identifying the remaining lifespan according to the calculated SOH.

  • Publication number: 20250364071
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for diagnosing deterioration of a memory, and is directed to providing an apparatus and method for diagnosing a memory, the apparatus capable of diagnosing a degree of deterioration of a memory among circuit components constituting a battery pack, and predicting and managing a lifespan of the memory based on the diagnosis result. The present disclosure provides a configuration that calculates a state of health (SOH) of the memory based on one or more of an erase count of data written to the memory, an erase time required to erase the data written to the memory, a write error count when writing the data to the memory, and a write time required to write the data to a memory cell, and determines the remaining lifespan according to the SOH.

  • Patent number: 7528580
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for monitoring a battery pack for accurately calculating an actual discharging or charging capacity of a secondary battery, which depends on temperature. The battery pack monitoring apparatus includes a bare cell adapted to be charged/discharged with a predetermined voltage. Sensors sense the bare cell charging/discharging voltages, charging/discharging currents, and temperature and convert them into predetermined electrical signals. A monitoring control unit converts the electrical signals from the sensors into digital signals and processes them in accordance with predetermined control commands. A storage unit stores tabulated discharging capacity-time data and charging capacity-time data as a function of the bare cell temperature, and outputs this data to the monitoring control unit. The processed data indicating a current charge/discharge capacity of the battery pack is provided to a charger or to another external system.
