  • Patent number: 8216071
Abstract: A method and apparatus for software delivery and management includes receiving an electronic catalog identifying one or more game titles, displaying at least a subset of the identified game titles within a graphical user interface (GUI), receiving an indication from a user selecting one of the game titles displayed within the GUI, and displaying information corresponding to the selected one of the game titles in association with at least one of a first offer to preview a partially enabled game program corresponding to the selected one of the game titles and a second offer to purchase a fully enabled version of the game program corresponding to the selected one of the game titles.

  • Patent number: 7212990
Abstract: The present invention is embodied in a system and method for managing and controlling accounts with generated profile information. The system includes a data generator, a database and a search agent. The data generator generates, collects and processes data about potential buyers and generates customer profiles. Data can be collected and processed by any suitable means for generating profiles, such as a data gathering session. In one example, a potential buyer can be provided with an interactive browsing environment and allowed to select information related to products or services. The search agent is used to create the database, which comprises buyers having organized profiles that define specific criteria. A profile of the buyer can be created by inferring criteria desired by the buyer based on the interactive browsing and the selections made by the buyer.

  • Patent number: 6708202
Abstract: A form for displaying an electronic message item includes an information object that highlights important information about the message. The information displayed in the information object is automatically derived by examining the message properties that constitute the message item. The examination of the message properties includes applying a series of if-then statements to predetermined message properties. If the results of one or more of the if-then tests are true, the program composes one or more information items that reflect the state of the message item. The program will also examine data external to the message item. The information items are composed in a natural language format and are prioritized prior to being displayed in the information object.

  • Patent number: 6092067
Abstract: A system for selectively recording a data structure where one or more external program modules are registered. A group of important actions is selected corresponding to both internal program modules and registered external program modules. The system determines if an action associated with one of the internal program modules or one of the registered external program modules has occurred. If so, the system determines if the action is one of the important actions. If the action is an important action, then information associated with the important action is placed into data fields of a data structure. The data structure containing the information is stored in computer memory. The data structure is maintained within a central container or folder in memory, along with previously recorded data structures. The data structure can be automatically deleted after a predetermined threshold of time.

  • Patent number: 5946691
Abstract: A method of the present invention receives information in at least one of a plurality of information fields associated with the data record and provides a designated field for receiving a filing identifier for filing the data record. The filing identifier identifies the location used by the computer system for storing the data record. A method of the present invention receives the filing identifier in the designated field in response to receiving the information within selected fields of the data record and automatically updates the filing identifier when information in the selected fields is modified. The method may further include the step of automatically generating, by the computer system, a plurality of predefined filing formats for the filing identifier based on the information received in at least one of the information fields. An option may be provided to select one of the predefined filing formats for automatic insertion in the designated field.
