  • Patent number: 8904941
Abstract: An ammunition capable of improving flying speed, shooting range, flight velocity, and straightness of a bullet by reducing the air resistance of the bullet due to the eddy flow of air generated at the rear portion of the bullet is provided. The wad of the ammunition includes a pressing portion having a through hole in which the cylindrical surface of the bullet is inserted, a coupling surface closely contacted to the vertical surface of the bullet, and a pressing surface extending from the through hole; and a cover portion having an inner peripheral surface which extends from the coupling surface of the pressing portion in the thrust force acting direction to cover a part of the circumferential surface of the streamlined tail portion of the bullet, and an outer peripheral surface which extends from an outer periphery of the pressing portion substantially parallel to the cylindrical surface of the bullet.

  • Publication number: 20130025441
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a protective device for a combat vehicle. The protective device includes a net which protects the combat vehicle from a rocket bomb, and net support assemblies which are provided to install the net on the combat vehicle. Each net support assembly includes a net fixing unit which is coupled to a corresponding one of intersection portions of the net, a vehicle body mounting unit which is mounted to the combat vehicle, and a spacing unit which connects the net fixing unit to the vehicle body mounting unit. The protective device further includes a distance adjuster which adjusts the distance between the net and the vehicle body, a shock absorber which absorbs impact, a protective member which is provided to reduce friction between the rocket bomb and the net strand, and a rocket bomb removal assembly which is installed on each intersection portion of the net.

  • Publication number: 20130025442
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a protective device using a net for a combat vehicle. The protective device includes a rocket bomb removal assembly provided on each of intersection portions of the net. The rocket bomb removal assembly has first intersection support points supporting net strands of the net that are brought into contact with the rocket bomb and are changed into a circular shape when the rocket bomb moves forwards, and second intersection support points supporting the net strands that are brought into contact with the rocket bomb and are changed into a circular shape when the rocket bomb is being moved backwards by the reaction of the net. The diameter of the circle formed by the net strands that are supported on the second intersection support points is greater than that of the circle formed by the net strands that are supported on the first intersection support points.

  • Publication number: 20120052979
Abstract: Disclosed is a golf club head including a variation part, which is easily flexible, formed at a striking surface of a head, and capable of increasing repulsive power caused by an elastic deformation rate of the striking surface upon striking a ball to improve a flying distance, and strengthening an elastic recovering force of corner parts formed by the variation part to further enhance stability in a ball-flying direction and a ball spin function.

  • Patent number: 6733356
Abstract: A flying-object launching toy gun comprises a body 20 with a launch barrel 30, a running block 50 for holding the flying-object 12 in a separable condition, the running block 50 movable along the launch barrel 30 between a rear pre-shooting position and a front post-shooting position, a loading knob 70 for bringing the running block 50 into the pre-shooting position, the loading knob 70 displaceable along the launch barrel 30, a coil spring 76 for causing the running block 50 to rapidly move from the pre-shooting position into the post-shooting position, and a spin generator 38, 56 for applying rotational force to the flying-object 12 as the running block 50 is caused to move from the pre-shooting position into the post-shooting position. The toy gun helps enable the flying-object to fly longer distance and prolonged time.

  • Patent number: 5867547
Abstract: A coolant pipe blocking device for use in a nuclear power plant is provided to temporarily choke up a coolant inlet pipe to thereby inhibit fluid communication between a reactor and a steam generator, the steam generator having a coolant chamber in communication with the reactor via the coolant inlet pipe and a manway providing access to the coolant chamber. The pipe blocking device includes a plurality of hub segments(42-48) arranged along a longitudinal axis substantially with a uniform spacing to one another and an elongated, flexible, support rod(50) extending in a coaxial relationship with the longitudinal axis for interconnecting and keeping spaced apart the hub segments. A plurality of bladders(52-60) are arranged in an end-to-end relationship with respect to one another and attached to the hub segments to define a series of hermetically sealed air chambers.
