  • Patent number: 12263926
Abstract: A boat lift is attached to piles driven into the earth or to another object. The boat lift is held in horizontal position relative to piles or the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the boat lift relative to the object is permitted. The boat lift is connected to the piles by modular units or cube constructs that have a post extending there through. The post has a blade extending from it. The blades are attached at an angle, according to the application, to pile guides that engage piles. The pile guides vertically traverse the piles, permitting the boat lift to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the horizontal position of the boat lift.

  • Patent number: 11851836
Abstract: A pile guide construct for floating docks. An elongated and vertical sleeve is positioned over a pile that is driven into the earth. A guide is positioned over the elongated and vertically positioned sleeve. A limiting cap is positioned an upper end of the sleeve that acts as a stop to prevent the guide from exceeding a vertical height that is greater than the height of the pile. Forming the sleeve and guide of thermoplastic, such as high density polyethylene, provides a sleeve and guide that are both durable and corrosion resistant, while also providing a construct having a low coefficient of friction that facilitates vertical movement of the guide relative to the sleeve and the pile. A collar mounted to the sleeve and spaced apart from the limiting cap may also be provided to provide a lower limit of travel of the dock relative to the pile.

  • Patent number: 11598063
Abstract: A pile guide has a collar with a void therein. A planar flange extends from a side of the collar. A first guide and a second guide form opposing guides constructed and arranged for receiving the planar flange of the pile guide therein. The planar flange is in a slidable relationship within the opposing guides, and the bracket is constructed and arranged for mounting to a dock. The opposing guides pivot relative to the dock during installation and allow pivoting of the pile guide relative to the dock or other mounting. The distance and angle of the collar relative to the dock or other mounting can be adjusted to accommodate for positioning of pile guides due to positioning of piles relative to a dock or other structure.

  • Patent number: 11447216
Abstract: A floating platform is attached to another object. The object may be fixed to the earth or it may be a floating object such as a floating dock or a vessel. The floating platform is held in horizontal position relative to the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the floating platform relative to the object is permitted. The object is connected to the floating platform by devices that have blades extending from. Each blade slidably engages a bracket, with the slidable blade permitting horizontal adjustment of the distance of the floating platform from the object during installation of the floating platform. Guide posts or piles slidably engage pile guides mounted to the object, permitting the floating platform to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the floating platform's horizontal position relative to the object.

  • Patent number: 11390363
Abstract: A boat lift has pumps that evacuate water from flotation containers lower the boat lift. Multiple flotation containers are retained by a frame that is formed as a grid. The pumps are contained within a housing that is retained in position by the frame. Water enters the housing through valves and is distributed to the flotation containers to lower the boat lift. Water is evacuated from the flotation containers by pumps, with valves closed to prevent water from entering the flotation containers.

  • Patent number: 10822063
Abstract: A floating platform has a floating member. The floating member is attached to another object, which may be fixed to the earth or it may be a floating object such as a floating dock or a vessel. At least two guide posts each have a horizontal blade extending from them. Each blade slidably engages a bracket that is mounted to the object, with the slidable blade permitting horizontal adjustment of the distance of the floating member from the object. The floating member has at least two horizontal receptacles extending through the floating member. Guide posts slidably engage the receptacles, permitting the floating member to move vertically relative to the guide posts, which fix the floating member's horizontal position relative to the object.
