  • Publication number: 20180283728
Abstract: An air diffuser for supplying air to a space, the diffuser having a central axis and comprising; a plurality of discharge elements arranged to guide an air stream towards the space, the plurality of discharge elements having respective edge regions that define a face of the diffuser; wherein a plurality of channels are located about the diffuser central axis, each channel being formed between adjacent pairs of discharge elements and configured to guide the air to the space. Wherein at least one of the discharge elements comprises a peripheral portion and a proximal portion relative to the central axis, and wherein the peripheral portion has a first air guide surface positioned at a first acute angle to the diffuser face, and the proximal portion has a second air guide surface positioned at a second acute angle to the diffuser face, the second angle being different to the first.

  • Publication number: 20060144061
Abstract: In a method for operating a climate control system in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, the climate control system can be operated in a recirculation mode in which recirculated air is supplied to the passenger compartment or in fresh air mode in which at least a portion of the air supplied to the passenger compartment is fresh air. In its normal operating mode the climate control system is operated in recirculation mode. Upon exceeding a predetermined CO2-threshold value measured in the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle the climate control system is switched to fresh air mode.

  • Patent number: 5873778
Abstract: A motor vehicle interior is provided with a central jet located in a dashboard. An air state sensor located in the vehicle interior is subjected to the flow of air blown out of the central jet in the dashboard. The horizontal and vertical air guide systems are connected to one another by mechanical forced guidance to limit their movement possibilities so that they sweep a maximum blowing-out area that avoids the roof area provided with the air state sensor.
