  • Publication number: 20250180159
Abstract: A pile guide has a body formed of thermoplastic polymer, such as polyethylene. The body has an internal area constructed and arranged to receive and retain a pile in the internal area of the body. A plurality of inserts formed of thermoplastic polymer, such as polyethylene, are attached to the internal area of the body and extend outwardly from the internal area of the body so that contact of the pile is with the inserts. The inserts are replaceable so that as the inserts wear due to frictional engagement with the pile, worn inserts may be replaced without replacement of the other components of the pile guide. The inserts are preferred to be formed of a corrosion resistant, low friction, chemical resistant, high impact and low moisture absorbing thermoplastic material.

  • Patent number: 12296929
Abstract: A floating construct is formed of a plurality of floats. The floats are constructed of rigid plastic with of a central tube positioned vertically. The floats are hollow and watertight, with the hollow and watertight structure of the floats providing flotation. The floats are connected directly or indirectly to other floats to form the floating construct. The use of multiple floats, which have a relatively small footprint, sized and positioned according to the loading of the floating construct, allows balancing of the overall construct that the floats support.

  • Publication number: 20240384491
Abstract: A pile guide has a cylinder having a central aperture therein, and constructed and arranged to receive a pile through the central aperture of the cylinder. Opposing wings extend generally vertically, such as from a side of a floating object. Flanges of a retainer extend from opposite sides of the retainer and slide within slots in the wings to provide adjustability of the pile guide by allowing movement of the cylinder relative to the dock or other floating object. Upon positioning the cylinder with the pile in the cylinder, the retainer or retainer is fixed in place relative to the wings. The distance of the cylinder from the floating dock is set to accommodate for variable distances of piles from the floating dock or floating object.

  • Publication number: 20220193285
Abstract: A sanitizing device for de-activating one or more pathogens located on an article. The sanitizing device includes a control unit, a container having an opening and a defined interior space for receiving a selected article. The sanitizing device includes at least one UV light source located within the interior space and a sensor unit located within the interior space in communication with the control unit. The sanitizing device receives the selected article within the interior space, the sensor detects at least one operating condition and communicates the operating condition to the control unit. The control unit selectively powers the UV light source to emit UV light from the UV light source toward the selected article based upon the operating condition.

  • Patent number: 10884021
Abstract: A verification gauge of this disclosure provides fit-to-pass inspection and visual gauge inspection that may be performed in the field to verify whether an s-type pitot tube falls within predetermined tolerances prior to its use. Verification only requires the gauge. No bench-type vise to hold the tube, no known flat plane (beyond any provided by the block), no protractor, and no accompanying spreadsheet calculations are required. In some embodiments, the verification gauge includes a square or rectangular block that includes four measurement stations or positions that correspond, respectively, to four different tolerances, two relating to face-plane openings and two relating to leg alignments. By positioning the tube within a station, fit-to-pass or visual gage inspection of face-plane openings and leg alignments may be performed.

  • Publication number: 20200180738
Abstract: A boat lift has one or more pumps that evacuate water from a first flotation tank construct and a second flotation tank construct to create flotation of the boat lift. Modular boat lifts may be constructed according to the invention that have substantial size but are transportable by truck for construction on site.
