  • Patent number: 11950819
Abstract: A bone positioning guide may include a main body member, a shaft, and a bone engagement member. The shaft can be movably connected to the main body member and have the bone engagement member rotatably coupled to its distal end. The bone engagement member can have a surface configured to engage a bone. The main body member can also include a tip opposite the bone engagement member for engaging a second bone. In use, the bone engagement member may be positioned in contact with a medial side of a first metatarsal while the tip is positioned in contact with a lateral side of a different metatarsal, such as a second metatarsal. The shaft can then be moved to advance the bone engagement member toward the tip, causing realignment of the first metatarsal.

  • Patent number: 11931047
Abstract: An osteotomy procedure may be performed to correct a misalignment of a bone, such as a bunion deformity. In some examples, the osteotomy procedure involves making a spherical-shaped cut transecting a first metatarsal, thereby forming a first metatarsal portion having a spherical-shaped projection and a second metatarsal portion having a spherical-shaped recess. The method further involves moving the second metatarsal portion in at least two planes relative to the first metatarsal portion, thereby adjusting an anatomical alignment of the second metatarsal portion.

  • Publication number: 20230381812
Abstract: A method of selective deposition that includes disposing in a deposition chamber a patterned substrate of side-by-side areas of metal and dielectric. The deposition chamber is connected to a bubbler that contains an N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) precursor. By heating the bubbler, gaseous free NHC is generated which is pulsed into the deposition chamber, where the NHC selectively chemisorbs onto the metal surface. Annealing after deposition of NHC improves surface patterning by removing stray metal from the dielectric section.

  • Patent number: 11320294
Abstract: A fluid dispenser for measuring and dispensing fluid from a container includes a housing having a measurement chamber that defines a volume for receiving a predefined quantity of the fluid, a fluid flow passage having an inlet configured to be in fluid communication with the fluid in the container, and an outlet in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, such that the fluid flow passage permits fluid flow between the container and the measurement chamber. A valve member is provided that is movable in the flow passage to open the flow passage to permit fluid flow from the container to the measurement chamber to thereby allow the volume of the measurement chamber to fill with the predefined quantity of fluid; and to close the flow passage to restrict fluid flow from the container to the measurement chamber, and to isolate the predefined quantity of fluid to the measurement chamber.

  • Patent number: 9673743
Abstract: An power management unit receives AC power and, via an AC-DC-AC converter, provides an AC motor signal to a three-phase induction motor. Sensors in the power management unit provide data to a digital signal processor (“DSP”). The data includes a current of the AC motor signal. The DSP generates a PWM carrier signal to modulate a voltage amplitude of the AC motor signal, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the motor. The motor terminal voltage is reduced until limit conditions are reached, such as reaching a motor rated efficiency or when the motor current fluctuates.
