Patent number: 11772603Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for passenger authentication and entry for autonomous vehicles are disclosed. A vehicle receives information over a first communication channel from a first mobile device. The information specifies a geographical location. The information causes the vehicle to arrive at the geographical location. The vehicle transmits a first message to a second mobile device indicating that the vehicle has arrived at the geographical location. The first message includes a graphical icon representing the vehicle. The graphical icon is for display on a user interface of the second mobile device. The vehicle receives a second message from the second mobile device over a second communication channel. The second message indicates that the graphical icon was dragged across the user interface into a graphical receptacle displayed on the user interface. Responsive to receiving the second message, at least one door of the vehicle is unlocked.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2021Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: Motional AD LLCInventors: Robert Brown, Dexter Stoltz, Adam-Ridgely Khaw, Linh Pham, Sean Beaudette

Publication number: 20230264653Abstract: A system includes a verification engine communicatively coupled to a sensing device and a database, the verification engine receives first authentication data, retrieves, from the database, second authentication data associated with a stored vehicle identifier to compare the vehicle identifier to the stored vehicle identifier to determine whether the vehicle identifier matches the stored vehicle identifier. In a case the vehicle identifier matches the stored vehicle identifier the user device is authenticated and access to the vehicle is provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2023Publication date: August 24, 2023Inventors: Alexander Steinwald, Peter Leeman, Moira Doherty, Christopher Konopka, Sean Beaudette, Maksym Bruner

Publication number: 20220075030Abstract: A vehicle sensor mounting system includes a tubular bridge structure that spans across the width of the vehicle roof and attaches to existing rooftop anchor points. The mounting system allows camera sensors to have full field-of-view coverage while being as close to the vehicle body as possible to reduce parallax, and not being occluded by the vehicle body or mounting system. The mounting system also allows the cameras to be co-axial with a LiDAR sensor and to minimize parallax. The mounting system has a minimum natural frequency that reduces road vibrations, allowing the sensors to remain in a stable mounting position and minimizes the motion of the sensors relative to the vehicle chassis to reduce misalignment errors in the sensor data. The mounting system includes a front and rear assembly. The rear assembly includes a cable hub assembly that provides a single ingress/egress point for a multi-conductor sensor cable.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2020Publication date: March 10, 2022Inventors: Justin D'Antonio, Sean Beaudette, Dexter Stoltz, Peter Brueckner

Patent number: 11141255Abstract: An introducer used to insert a urinary incontinence device into a vagina. The introducer includes a housing including a vaginal insertion tube at a proximal end of the housing and a storage section at a distal end of the housing. The storage section is shaped and dimensioned for storage of the urinary incontinence device prior to insertion and the vaginal insertion tube is shaped and dimensioned for the passage of the urinary incontinence device therethrough. The dimensions of the storage section are such that the urinary incontinence device contained therein is in its deployed non-compressed state allowing the urinary incontinence device to be stored in its non-compressed state prior to use. The introducer also includes a plunger which travels within the housing.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2018Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: OVALA, INC.Inventor: Sean Beaudette

Patent number: 10961020Abstract: A cooler assembly includes a cooler body and a plurality of turreted article-storage legs. The cooler body has integrally formed insulated side walls and an insulated bottom. The side walls and bottom cooperate to define an insulated interior compartment of the cooler assembly. The turreted article-storage legs are located adjacent the side walls of the cooler body and reside outside of the interior compartment. Each turreted article-storage leg has a hollow interior and an open top for receiving an article to be stored within the hollow interior.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2019Date of Patent: March 30, 2021Assignee: Goat Outdoor, Inc.Inventors: Jack W. Robbins, Sean Beaudette
