Abstract: A system for controlling a display of content is provided. The system includes a display device and a control element. The display device includes first and second display units. The control element includes first and second controllers. The first and second controllers are coupled to the first and second display units, respectively. The first controller is configured to pause a display of first content on the first display unit to thereby initiate a lag between the display of the first content on the first display unit and a real-world occurrence of the first content. The second controller is configured to prevent a display of second content, which is related to the first content but which is not subject to the lag, on the second display unit while the lag persists.
