Abstract: A computer-implemented method of managing data storage according to collaborative activity can include determining collaborative activity for each of a plurality of data items associated with a first user and stored within a first data storage device. The method can include calculating a measure of relevancy for each of the plurality of data items according to the collaborative activity and comparing the measure of relevancy of each of the plurality of data items to at least one relevancy threshold. Different ones of the plurality of data items can be selectively migrated from the first data storage device to a second data storage device according to the comparison of the measure of relevancy of each of the plurality of data items.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for motivating electronically-scheduled event attendance can include a set of attendance listening components, an attendance prompt, and an attendance prompting tool. The attendance listening components can monitor activities performed in a networked environment. The attendance prompt can represent an electronic message and feedback mechanism that is provided on an electronic device. The attendance prompting tool can interject the attendance prompt into an activity identified by an attendance listening component as being performed by a user-selected member of the networked environment. The attendance prompt can be associated with an electronically-scheduled event the user-selected member is to attend.

Abstract: Enforcing user-defined real-time communication session terminations can begin with a termination enforcement handler identifying termination conditions applicable to a real-time communication session hosted by a unified telephony system. The termination conditions can define a limit for an operational variable for the unified telephony system or the real-time communication session. The identified termination conditions can be evaluated. If a termination condition is satisfied, it can be determined which participants are to be disconnected from the real-time communication session based upon handling rules for the termination conditions and/or termination preferences associated with the real-time communication session. The termination preferences can be defined by an initiating entity of the real-time communication session. The participants can be notified that their connection to the real-time communication session will be terminated in a predefined time limit.

At least one of the attendees is designated a moderator of the meeting. The actions of the designated moderator are monitored to determine if the designated moderator is capable of performing one or more moderator responsibilities associated with being the designated moderator. If it is determined that the designated moderator is incapable of performing the one or more moderator responsibilities, an alternate moderator chosen from the plurality of attendees is designated.

Abstract: Online location sharing through an internet service search engine includes: receiving in a server a query from a first user, the query identifying a second user; querying multiple internet services with the server over a network for real-time information regarding the second user; and providing a consolidated view of responses received from the plurality of internet services to the first user with the server, the server being authorized by the second user to receive all information relevant to the second user contained in the responses; wherein the consolidated view of responses indicates an online location of the second user.

The online status of the second user is monitored. A tracking notice is provided to the second user. A method may comprise creating a local meeting entry, the local meeting entry referencing a global meeting entry in a different location. The method may further comprise propagating a schedule change in the global meeting entry to the local meeting entry. The method may also comprise rescheduling a resource reserved for the local meeting entry based upon, at least in part, the schedule change in the global meeting entry.

Abstract: Conflict resolution in a computerized calendaring system executed by a processor includes: with the processor, receiving a request to schedule a new event that conflicts with a previously scheduled event; determining with the processor that the previously scheduled event has priority over the new event based on historical event data; and imposing with the processor a constraint on scheduling the new event according to a defined priority policy.

The work monitoring system can determine that an activity is associated with a project based on context of the activity and an employee's work profile. The work monitoring system can determine the amount of time spent on the activity and record the amount of time in a daily work record. The work monitoring system can also update the employee's presence information to indicate that the employee is working on the project to update the employee's instant messaging contacts about the employees work activity.

Abstract: A system for dynamically changing session behavior based on user and/or group classification in response to server demand. The system operates to dynamically alter current session behavior experienced by individual users and/or groups of users in response to monitored server demand. An intelligence server provides application servers with actions to be taken to dynamically change current user sessions, in response to current server demand, for example based on rules known by a rules engine within the intelligence server. A ranking system within the intelligence server takes its input from a monitoring system also in the intelligence server, and dynamically keeps track of individual user's relative ranks against other users that are actively being monitored.

Abstract: A method, system and computer-readable medium for enhanced instant messaging in a data processing system are disclosed. The instant messaging application detects a number of instant messaging sessions of a first messaging participant with a number of other messaging participants and detects a hierarchy class of each of the other messaging participants. The application calculates an average response time for each of hierarchy classes. The application determines whether the average response time for each hierarchy class exceeds a predefined threshold. If the average response time does not exceed the threshold the application displays an indication of the average response time for the hierarchy class to each of the other messaging participants of the hierarchy class. If the average response time does exceed the threshold, the application displays an indication to each of the other messaging participants of the hierarchy class that the first messaging participant is unable to respond.
