Abstract: A virtual window system for a vehicle is disclosed. The virtual window system includes a display device and a controller. The controller is configured to: receive an image of a scene in a field of view (FOV) of an imaging system of the vehicle at an image capture time; predict a vehicle location at a predicted image display time; translate the image to a predicted image having an estimated view of the scene from the vehicle at the predicted vehicle location based on a predicted render time, a predicted display time, an amount of predicted position change between vehicle position at the image capture time and predicted vehicle position at the predicted image display time; and cause the translated image to be displayed on the display device at the predicted image display time.

Abstract: Vehicle systems and methods are provided for associating text entry components with software applications in a decoupled software environment. One method involves a user input management service associating a user input from a user input device with an interactive application based on a location associated with the user input, providing the user input to the application based on the association, wherein the application responds to the user input, receiving indication of selection of a text input element by the user input from the application. In response to the indication of selection of the text input element, the user input management service associates a text entry component with the application and thereafter provides a text input received from the associated text entry component to the application based on the association between the text entry component and the application, wherein the application responds to the text input.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing image motion artifact correction for a color sequential (CS) display in a display system in a vehicle. The system includes a processor operationally coupled to a source of a coherent RGB image frame, a source of a line of sight (LOS) motion rate, and the display system, the processor configured to, calculate a sub-frame (SF) timing rate for the CS display; unpack the coherent RGB image frame into a Red, a Green, and a Blue frame; calculate a red, a green, and a blue pixel shift, as a function of a LOS rate change; apply the red pixel shift to the Red frame, the green pixel shift to the Green frame, and the blue pixel shift to the Blue frame, thereby creating modified RGB sub-frames; and re-packing the modified RGB sub-frames into a modified coherent RGB image frame for the CS display.

The method extracts, via a communication device, avionics data from a data communication bus onboard the aircraft; identifies electronic logbook data and aircraft performance data, based on the extracted avionics data; incorporates the electronic logbook data into an electronic logbook to create an updated electronic logbook; creates a summary of the one or more recent flights, based on the aircraft performance data; and presents, via a display device, the updated electronic logbook and the summary of the one or more recent flights.
