Abstract: A multiple folate composition having at least 3 different forms of folate comprising at least one of folic acid (a salt or ester thereof); at least one of a folinic acid (a salt or ester thereof); and at least one of a 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolic acid (a salt or ester thereof) is disclosed. The composition is useful as a nutritional supplement or medication in the treatment of folate deficiency and the sequella thereof and/or in conditions responsive to administration of metabolically useful folate. The compositions are particularly of use in patients who have impaired or reduced ability to convert folic acid to its metabolically active forms, and in the treatment of depression.

Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided for obtaining and providing patient medication history. The systems and methods may include receiving a request for medication history information of a patient, the request including identification information for the patient. At least one memory may be accessed utilizing at least a portion of the identification information, the at least one memory including information associated with pharmacy claims transactions stored in the at least one memory in near real time as the pharmacy claims transactions are processed. Information associated with the medication history of the patient is obtained from the at least one memory and communicated in response to the received request.

Abstract: Systems and methods may determine prescribing physician activity levels. Information associated with a plurality of healthcare transaction requests that are received during a designated time period from at least one healthcare provider computer for communication to one or more claims processor computers may be collected. A respective prescribing physician for each of the plurality of received healthcare transaction requests may be identified. For each identified physician, a respective activity measure for the designated time period may be calculated based upon a respective number of the healthcare transaction requests identifying the physician.

Abstract: Described is a technology by which machines of a (typically small) network have associated public key-based certificates for use in authentication with a server and validation of other machines in the network. This provides an inexpensive and straightforward mechanism to control, manage and maintain client machines, as well as to allow valid client machines to securely communicate with one another and recognize machines that are not valid on the network. Certificates are maintained on the server and checked for validity as needed.

Abstract: The subject disclosure is directed towards establishing communication between a client computer and a network resource on a computer network when DNS resolution has failed because of a DNS proxy solution. A user may request that the client use a tool as an alternative to DNS resolution. The client may monitor the network for a broadcast from the network resource, which contains information needed for the client to access the network resource. The network resource may broadcast the information from time to time, or it may broadcast it in response to a specific request from the client.

A send request is intercepted inside the client and a series of message analysis steps is performed that analyze the sender, recipient, message, any attachments to the message, and/or related content and information. The output of the message analysis steps is made available for use with rules that specify the performance of a number of actions. The content analysis steps and the actions taken may be determined by the sender or may be centrally managed and determined by an organization.

Abstract: A computerized method for identifying, ranking, and auditing configurable providers is described. The method receives and stores information about plural providers including provider name, provider icon, provider contact information, landing URL, configurables offered, geographical locations, and descriptions of configurables. The method receives a request from a computer that includes a geographic location. The method searches the stored information about providers in order to identify a list of provider servers that auto-configure configurables in the geographic location. The method sends information and the list of provider servers to the computer, and the sent information includes provider names, provider rank, provider landing URL, and descriptions of configurables. The method receives auditing information from the computer including a provider server selected from the list, a transaction for a selected configurable, and an indication that the selected configurable is operational.

Abstract: A search system may include searches performed on remotely hosted services that may be indexed and queried by an aggregated search tool. The search tool may aggregate desktop searches and internet searches with searches of remotely hosted services into a single set of results. Remotely hosted services may include databases and other services that are hosted over the Internet but may be privately available to a user. Examples of remotely hosted services may include shared directories, customer resource management systems, project management tools, accounting systems, and other remote services. In some embodiments, a search index created from the remote service may be stored locally or on a server.

Abstract: A system for categorizing electronic messages is based on analysis of images within them. Information is extracted about potential text areas in an image and represented as a series of bounding polygons that circumscribe the text-containing regions of the image. Descriptive information and statistics are extracted from the set of bounding polygons and a set of textual representations suitable for pattern matching or Bayesian analysis is produced. The derived categorization may be used to drive classification-based engines. In an electronic message classifier, the classifier derives information from at least one textual token for use in making a probabilistic classification of the electronic message.

Abstract: A device for cutting tissue having a bowed cutting element may include a shaft having a central axis and a tissue cutting element coupled to the shaft. The tissue cutting element may be movable from a collapsed position to an expanded position and may bow outwardly when in the expanded position. The cutting element generally moves in a first plane when moving between the collapsed and expanded positions. The shaft may have a first thickness and a second thickness relative to the central axis of the shaft. The first and second thicknesses may lie in a second plane which is generally parallel to the first plane. The second thickness may be at least 1.25 times larger than the first thickness and the side of the shaft may have the second thickness leading the cutting element during rotation.

Abstract: A method may include steps of providing a tissue cutting device having a shaft and a cutting element. The cutting element may be movable from a collapsed position to an expanded position. The tissue cutting device may be introduced into the patient's breast through a first incision with the cutting element in the collapsed position. The cutting element may then be expanded. The cutting element may then be moved through breast tissue to cut around the tissue to be removed, and the breast tissue may be removed through a second incision that is different from the first incision.

Abstract: A method of removing breast tissue may include steps of providing a tissue cutting device having a shaft, a tissue collection element and a cutting element, the cutting element being movable from a collapsed position to an expanded position. The tissue cutting device may be introduced into the patient's breast through a first incision with the cutting element in the collapsed position and the cutting element may be expanded. The cutting element may then be moved through breast tissue to cut around the tissue to be removed. The tissue cut by the cutting element may be positioned into the tissue collection element, and the tissue collection element may be removed through a second incision that is different from the first incision.

Abstract: A method of marking a cavity in a breast for subsequent visualization may include steps of providing a device having a delivery opening, a first marker and a second marker, the first and second markers being movable through the delivery opening, the first marker being configured to be visualized by ultrasound and the second marker configured to be radiopaque, the first and second markers being free to move relative to one another; introducing the device into a breast so that the delivery opening is positioned in a cavity formed in the breast; and moving the first marker and the second marker through the delivery opening and into the cavity in the breast, the first and second markers being free to move relative to one another when delivered into the cavity so that the first and second markers may take a number of different positions relative to one another when positioned within the cavity.

Abstract: A system and method to reduce the time and complexity of IT classroom setup. The present invention leverages virtual machine technology to create a new learning platform. In one embodiment, the system includes a classroom computer having installed therein a virtual machine platform, virtual machines, and an exercise launcher. The system also includes a database for associating classroom exercises with one or more of the virtual machines. The launcher has a user interface that enables a student to select a classroom exercise. In response to the student selecting a classroom exercise, the exercise launcher determines the virtual machines associated with the selected exercise and requests the virtual machine platform to launch the determined virtual machines. In this way, the classroom computer is automatically configured to enable the student to perform the entire exercise.
