Publication number: 20240392170Abstract: An epoxy-based glue includes an epoxy material, and a solids component including diamond powder and silicon-carbide particles. The adhesive material may be used to form reaction-bonded silicon-carbide bonding reaction-bonded silicon-carbide parts together. The present disclosure also relates to a method of assembling a product from preforms, including locating an adhesive layer, containing diamond powder, between opposed preform surfaces, carbonizing the layer, and infiltrating molten silicon into the preforms and the carbonized layer to convert the preforms into corresponding reaction-bonded silicon-carbide parts, and to convert the carbonized layer into a reaction-bonded silicon-carbide bonding region with a reduced amount of residual silicon. An assembled product, including at least two reaction-bonded silicon-carbide parts bonded together by processing a diamond-containing adhesive, is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2022Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventors: Samuel Salamone, Sean McAnany, Glenn Evans

Patent number: 12081322Abstract: The disclosed technique secures a seed phrase configured to access a digital wallet, which holds private keys to access digital assets on a blockchain. Copies of portions of the seed phrase are stored at multiple electronic devices. The seed phrase can be reconstructed at a particular device by retrieving a necessary and sufficient number of the portions from the other devices. In one example, the portions can be shared among devices when in physical proximity to each other and/or when the devices are authenticated as belonging to the same user, which owns the digital wallet. As such, the seed phrase can be stored securely across multiple devices and retrieved even when one of those devices is lost, damaged, or stolen.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2023Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: OSOM PRODUCTS, INC.Inventors: Gary Anderson, Jason Sean Gagne-Keats, David John Evans, V

Publication number: 20240251145Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to features that enable a user to operate a smartphone as a webcam for a computer. In one example, a smartphone is attached to a computer display, such as a laptop monitor or a flatscreen monitor, with a camera of the smartphone facing the user. The computer can detect the presence of the smartphone and trigger the smartphone and computer to pair with each other, e.g., by a Bluetooth handshake. The computer can then stream video captured by smartphone for a video call.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Jason Sean Gagne-Keats, David John Evans, V, Jean-Baptiste Charles Theou, Gary Anderson, Gary Bisson, Nicholas Franco
