  • Publication number: 20230051946
Abstract: A modular lighting system adapted to be installed in and illuminate an environment. The lighting system includes a first light fixture including a first canopy assembly adapted to engage a desired surface in the environment, a first light-emitting diode (LED) module, and a second LED module. The first LED module has a first connector assembly configured to mechanically and electrically connect the first LED module to the first light fixture via the first canopy assembly, the second connector assembly is configured to mechanically and electrically connect the second LED module to the first LED module, and the first LED module is interchangeable with a third LED module including a third connector assembly configured to mechanically and electrically connect the third LED module to both the second LED module and the first light fixture via the first canopy assembly.

  • Publication number: 20230029890
Abstract: A junction box for a light fixture. The junction box is configured to be mounted to a desired surface within an environment and includes a housing, a bracket coupled to the housing, an internal cavity defined by the housing and the bracket, a driver disposed in the internal cavity, an adapter removably disposed within the internal cavity, and a cover removably coupled to the adapter to selectively close the internal cavity. The cover includes an opening configured to receive a portion of the light fixture to removably couple the light fixture to the junction box. When the cover is coupled to the adapter, the adapter retains the driver in the cavity and prevents access to the driver, and when the cover is removed, the adapter is removable from the cavity, thereby permitting access to the driver.

  • Patent number: 10760749
Abstract: A recessed light fixture configured to deliver indirect light to an area. The recessed light fixture includes a trim component, a reflector coupled to the trim component, and an annular ring including a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The trim component has an outer wall and an inner wall spaced radially inward of the outer wall, and defines an annular recess between the outer and inner walls. The reflector includes a patterned reflective surface. The annular ring is arranged within the annular recess of the trim component. The LEDs are configured to emit light toward the reflector so that the reflector redirects the light to deliver the indirect light to the area.

  • Patent number: 9759403
Abstract: A recessed lighting system is disclosed that is capable of providing both direct and indirect lighting. The recessed lighting system may include first and second pluralities of light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on, respectively, first and second elongate track members. The first and second elongate track members may be spaced apart from each other by a distance, and a reflector may span at least a portion of that distance. The first and second pluralities of LEDs may be configured to emit light toward the reflector so that the reflector provides indirect lighting. A direct lighting fixture may be arranged between and slidably supported by the first and second elongate track members so that the direct lighting fixture is movable along the first and second elongate track members. Accordingly, the direct lighting fixture can be moved to a preferred position to spotlight an individual object or portion of the room.
