  • Publication number: 20140148134
Abstract: A mode switching and electronic sign-in system for a mobile device and a method thereof are provided. A mobile device performs detection of a sign-in device by a wireless network, and when detecting the sign-in device, the mobile device provides an electronic sign-in message. After the electronic sign-in message passes verification, the electronic sign-in message is recorded in the sign-in device. Meanwhile, because a result of detecting the sign-in device changes, the mobile device actively switches a corresponding mode of the mobile device, so as to achieve the technical efficacy of electronic sign-in performed through the mobile device of a user and automatic switching of the corresponding mode of the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20140101551
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying sources associated with video clips uploaded by users and stitching those video clips into a single aggregate video according to a desired parameter and/or order. In particular, video clips uploaded by users can be matched to a source. Based upon processing of the video clip and/or source, a set of video clips with related content can be identified. That set of video clips can be ordered according to an ordering parameter. Overlapping and/or missing content can be identified, and the ordered set can be stitched into an aggregate video.

  • Publication number: 20140059660
Abstract: Software on a router receives configuration data that specifies a social networking service as a source for authentication according to an authentication protocol. Subsequently, the router software receives packet data from a client device for a destination other than the social networking service. The router software causes software on the client device to display a login view for the social networking service. The router software transmits the login data entered in the login view to the social networking service. And the router software receives an authorization code following a successful login by a user identified on an access control list (ACL). Then the router software transmits the packet data to the destination.

  • Patent number: 8655947
Abstract: A user is provided the ability to determine preconditions for making a note from the user viewable by a target audience designated by the user. The preconditions must be met before the note is viewable by the target audience in a display of a client device associated with the target audience. The user may also determine when the note expires, and whether to make the note viewable to the target audience when the note expires.

  • Publication number: 20140031961
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for generating location-based playlists. The disclosed method includes providing a music service for generating playlists for a location, identifying users having respective user devices within the defined boundaries of the location, and aggregating music preferences of the identified users. Each of the user devices have access to the music service and the aggregated music preferences of the identified users identify a plurality of music tracks. The disclosed method further includes generating a playlist having the plurality of music tracks based on the aggregated music preferences and providing an access to the generated playlist to the identified users at the location. The plurality of music tracks of the playlist is provided for listening by the music service to one or more of the user devices.

  • Publication number: 20130226953
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus are described herein that includes identifying a partial query entered into a search field. A query completion template is then provided for display for a category of information associated with one or more terms within the partial query, the query completion template including an interactive field that is user editable. User interaction with the interactive field is the identified. Display of the query completion template is then updated to include the results of the user interaction within the interactive of the query completion template. User selection of the updated query completion template is then identified, and in response the updated display of the query completion template is transmitted as a search query.

  • Publication number: 20130185670
Abstract: A system and machine-implemented method for displaying a list of entries for a social content stream is provided. A set of entries is obtained from at least one source associated with the social content stream. Information is extracted from each entry of the set of entries. A hierarchical order of the set of entries is determined based on the at least one of the user view count or the number of user hits. An arrangement of frames corresponding to the set of entries based on the determined hierarchical order is provided for display. The frames are displayable within a predefined area of a display on a user device. The size of each frame is based on the determined hierarchical order of the set of entries.

  • Publication number: 20060155540
Abstract: In a method for data training, training is performed using multiple entries of data in a database of web pages, libraries, patent documents, etc., in combination with data selected or labeled by a user. The data training utilizes a scheme based principally on a machine learning algorithm but providing more efficient processing techniques. Thus, quick learning can be achieved with fewer feedbacks to save the user's time and to save computer computational resources, and data can be classified or filtered effectively.
