  • Patent number: 11128653
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system is provided, and computer-executable instructions cause the system to: obtain a file with instructions for provisioning resources of a service by referencing types of compute resources and including instructions for generating a customized resource of a first type; determine that the file references a first type of compute resources; retrieve threat modeling information associated with the first type of resource, including information identifying a first potential threat; generate a graph with nodes representing the first type of resource, the customized resource, and the first potential threat, and an edge connecting the first node and the second node with a predicate indicative of the relationship them; generate an ontology statement that relate the customized resource and first type of resource; and provide a plurality of ontology statements representing the graph to a reasoner to perform at least a portion of a security review without user intervention.

  • Publication number: 20200101647
Abstract: The present invention is a container having a label that is embedded in the container and a method of temporarily marking the container over the label. The container is sufficiently transparent to allow indicia formed on the label to be ascertained through a wall of the container. The exterior wall of the container may be written upon with a marker that leaves marks that are erasable from the exterior of the container. A method of producing the container is described.

  • Patent number: 10444244
Abstract: A microfluidic array supporting a lipid bilayer assembly on which membrane proteins can be assembled is described. The array is formed from a hydrophilic polymeric substrate or metal substrate comprising a planar surface with a plurality of individual spherical depressions formed therein. Each of the depressions are configured to have a diameter greater than 1 ?m and containing an aqueous solution. Across each of the depressions is provided a lipid layer. Each of the plurality of individual depressions comprise arcuate side walls extending downwardly into the substrate from the planar surface.

  • Publication number: 20160117776
Abstract: A method is provided. The method includes receiving an address of a property to be insured; accessing an external attribute server and using only the address, retrieving attributes of the property to be insured from the external attribute server; calculating a premium estimate of insurance for the property to be insured based on the attributes of the property; generating a final insurance premium estimate by multiplying the calculated estimate by a multiplier; and transmitting the final insurance premium estimate to a device from which the address of the property to be insured was received.

  • Publication number: 20160086518
Abstract: A labeling system embeds a permanent label into a food container, such that the label may be reused for identifying container content, such as food. The label records at least one parameter about the contents of the container for a week long duration. The label includes spaces configured to receive removable marks from a marker. The parameter can include information pertinent to the identification, shelf life, and preparation time for the food, and a preparer identification. The parameters can also have each day of the week displayed. In this manner, the appropriate day can be marked to identify the date the food was stored in the container. Because of the greater duration covered by the parameters, the label does not have to be removed daily for marking new information thereto, and the need to remark over old markings on a label is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20110096368
Abstract: An improved security system is disclosed for material printed on a substrate comprising a primary marking printed on the substrate for conveying information. A secondary marking provides security to the primary marking. The secondary marking may include a variation in optical properties, a variation in magnetic properties or a variation in both in optical properties and magnetic properties of the primary marking. A method is disclosed comprising printing a primary and a secondary marking on a substrate with the primary marking conveying information and with the secondary marking providing security to the primary marking.

  • Publication number: 20050182304
Abstract: Disclosed in one embodiment is a multimodal neuromonitoring system for providing clinicians with measures of important higher order, clinically relevant neurophysiological functions by combining the output of multiple medical devices each of which provides a measure of a more basic neurophysiological function. Also disclosed are electronic displays that present clinically meaningful relationships between various physical and chemical measurements of brain function, and a process for calculating when a patient's current neurophysiological state is different from a nominal “healthy” neurophysiological state.
