  • Publication number: 20250135264
Abstract: A weight bench may include a frame, a seat portion, and a back rest portion. The seat and back rest portions may be mounted to the frame using a hinge, allowing rotation between flat and inclined positions. The hinge may include first and second sliding limit hinges for the seat and back rest portions respectively. The seat and back rest portions may substantially abut along a common axis, with a gap of approximately zero. The sliding limit hinges may maintain a constant gap width as the portions rotate between positions. This configuration may allow for smooth adjustment while maintaining a seamless bench surface.

  • Publication number: 20250135427
Abstract: A method for transporting a material (which may be a viscous fluid) in a conduit defined by a conduit-defining surface comprises: flowing a first fluid and a second fluid in a flow direction within the conduit; contacting the first and second fluids to one another at a contact region to thereby facilitate a reaction creating a reaction product in an interface region that extends downstream from the contact region, wherein the reaction product is an elastic-solid; and transporting the material in the flow direction within the conduit. At locations downstream of interface region, the reaction product creates a barrier between the viscous fluid and the conduit-defining surface.

  • Publication number: 20250131273
Abstract: Provided is a noisy channel generative model of two sequences, for example text and speech, which enables uncovering the associations between the two modalities when limited paired data is available. To address the intractability of the exact model under a realistic data set-up, example aspects of the present disclosure include a variational inference approximation. To train this variational model with categorical data, a KL encoder loss approach is proposed which has connections to the wake-sleep algorithm.

  • Patent number: 12284409
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for seamlessly connecting devices based on relationships between the users of the respective devices. A media guidance application may determine that a first user has entered an environment (e.g., his/her mother's home) and may determine a frequency with which the first user enters the environment (e.g., daily). In response to determining that the first user visits frequently, the media guidance application may identify a second device in the environment (e.g., a smart TV) that a second user (e.g., the first user's mother) is authorized to grant access rights for. The media guidance application may determine a likelihood that the second user will grant the access rights for the second device to the first user, based on interaction data between the first user and the second user. In response to determining a high likelihood, the media guidance application may transmit the access rights.

  • Publication number: 20250104051
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for efficiently creating non-fungible tokens. A smart contract can receive a non-fungible token (NFT) creation request that specifies a number of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to create. The smart contract can then create a plurality of NFTs equal to the number of NFTs specified in the NFT creation request. The smart contract can subsequently assign each of the plurality of NFTs to a blockchain address. Finally, the smart contract can store, in a single operation, the plurality of NFTs to the blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20250088383
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for controlling playback and/or recording of media assets at a media device based on the state of a secondary device. Specifically, while displaying a media asset, a media device receives a signal from the secondary device indicating a change of state of the secondary device. The media device displays a notification of the signal, and the user can interact with the notification. If the user interacts with the notification for more than a threshold amount of time, the media device may begin recording the media asset. Once the user has finished interacting with the notification, the media device may stop recording and the user can see content that they may have missed by reviewing the recorded portion of the media asset.

  • Publication number: 20240406500
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for determining a level of user engagement based on user interactions. A media guidance application is configured to retrieve a first record of a first plurality of user inputs, including input type, received during consumption of a media asset. A second time interval, prior to the first time interval, is selected by shifting the first start time and the first end time. A second record of a second plurality of user inputs received during the second time interval, including input type, is retrieved. A first media asset consumed during the first time interval and a second media asset consumed during the second time interval are determined, and the level of user engagement for the first media asset is determined based on the first record and the second record.

  • Publication number: 20240395238
Abstract: A method for estimating an embedding capacity includes receiving, at a deterministic reference encoder, a reference audio signal, and determining a reference embedding corresponding to the reference audio signal, the reference embedding having a corresponding embedding dimensionality. The method also includes measuring a first reconstruction loss as a function of the corresponding embedding dimensionality of the reference embedding and obtaining a variational embedding from a variational posterior. The variational embedding has a corresponding embedding dimensionality and a specified capacity. The method also includes measuring a second reconstruction loss as a function of the corresponding embedding dimensionality of the variational embedding and estimating a capacity of the reference embedding by comparing the first measured reconstruction loss for the reference embedding relative to the second measured reconstruction loss for the variational embedding having the specified capacity.

  • Publication number: 20240395239
Abstract: Systems and methods for text-to-speech with novel speakers can obtain text data and output audio data. The input text data may be input along with one or more speaker preferences. The speaker preferences can include speaker characteristics. The speaker preferences can be processed by a machine-learned model conditioned on a learned prior distribution to determine a speaker embedding. The speaker embedding can then be processed with the text data to generate an output that includes audio data descriptive of the text data spoken by a novel speaker.

  • Publication number: 20240388771
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for automatically generating universal metadata for non-linear content when the non-linear content is determined to be viral. To this end, the systems and methods determine a first rate at which first users are consuming non-linear content from a first source. In response to determining that the first rate exceeds the threshold, the systems and methods determine a second source that from which second users are consuming the non-linear content, and a second rate at which the second users are consuming the non-linear content from the second source. In response to determining that the second rate exceeds the threshold, the systems and methods generate universal metadata for the non-linear content by automatically populating metadata fields of by scraping metadata fitting predefined criteria corresponding to the metadata fields from the first source and from the second source, and store the populated metadata fields to a database.

  • Patent number: 12125560
Abstract: An image acquisition and analysis system are disclosed. The system enables high throughput, objective analysis of microbial samples over days or weeks. The system may accommodate upwards of twelve 96- or 384-well plates simultaneously (liquid or solid media). The system may acquire and analyze a large number of samples in a short period of time. For example, over 384 samples per minute or 18,432 samples per hour. The system hardware may include a multi-spectral imager (fluorescence and bright field detection), electro-mechanical assemblies, and an optional high-resolution stage. The system may automate image acquisition, image data processing, simplify data storage, and enable automated analysis tools to significantly reduce the manual labor and time associated with such tasks. The system may allow for quick processing and analysis of data into clear phenotypic classes.
