Abstract: The present invention relates to a barrier assembly comprising a cartridge comprising a longitudinally mounted rotatable central shaft configured for connection to a barrier and a longitudinal opening through which the interior of the cartridge is accessible. In an embodiment of the present invention, the barrier assembly further comprises a means for mounting a post to the exterior of the cartridge. In another embodiment of the present invention, the barrier assembly further comprises a base connectable to the cartridge, the base comprising at least one wheel configured to permit movement of the base on a surface.
