  • Publication number: 20240019749
Abstract: A non-light-emitting variable transmission device can include an active stack; a transparent conductive layer overlying the active stack; an antireflective layer overlying the transparent conductive layer and defining a hole; and a bus bar comprising a conductive tape that extends into the hole and contacts the transparent conductive layer. Proper selection of materials and design of a bus bar can allow an electrical connection to be made to the transparent conductive layer without the need to cut an underlying transparent conductive layer. A method of forming the non-light-emitting variable transmission device can include patterning the antireflective layer to define the hole that extends to the transparent conductive layer. Improved control in patterning allows the antireflective layer to be relatively thin and not remove too much of the underlying transparent conductive layer.

  • Publication number: 20230412707
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for locating and navigating to the location of a requestor based on proximity between a requestor device and a provider device. For example, embodiments display proximity indicators to allow a provider to quickly, easily, and safely locate a requestor upon arrival near a request location. Further, in some embodiments, graphics associated with a proximity vector may be presented on a provider communication device to clearly display the navigation directions to the provider so that the provider may easily find their matched requestor without requiring additional communication between the provider and the requestor. Additionally, embodiments provide efficient navigation to riders by limiting display of proximity indicators for navigation until the provider is within a threshold distance to the request location to conserve system resources and communication between an on-demand matching system and the provider computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230345172
Abstract: The present document describes a textile-assembly toolkit for reversible assembly of a textile to an electronic-speaker device. The toolkit includes multiple attachment features, including rigid features with matched purposefully-designed knit types that can be combined to enable repeatable, mass-producible, reversible assembly of the textile to the electronic-speaker device. The techniques described herein enable accurate alignment of the textile on the electronic-speaker device without distorting the textile's cosmetic pattern and in a manner that results in no visible edges of the textile or visible attachment features on the exterior of the electronic-speaker device. Also, the textile-assembly toolkit includes attachment features that secure the textile with sufficient tension to avoid acoustic distortion such as rub and buzz.

  • Patent number: 11574262
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for improving the accuracy of location information for requestor and provider devices in an dynamic transportation matching system using local communications between computing devices. For example, embodiments allow a provider computing device to identify, pair, and/or communicate with a requestor computing device upon arrival near a request location for a ride matching request. The provider computing device may use signal strength measurements associated with signals received from the requestor computing device to identify a proximity to the requestor computing device and/or to triangulate an accurate location of the requestor computing device. Additionally, the provider computing device may use a combination of the location reported by the ride matching system and the signal strength of the paired connection to identify the location of the requestor computing device.

  • Patent number: 11076834
Abstract: An ultrasound processing system includes an ultrasound interface and processing electronics. The ultrasound interface receives imaging information. The processing electronics are coupled to the ultrasound interface and are configured to perform processing across a plurality of ultrasound channels by combining channel data for adaptively reducing the common mode noise prior to beamforming for a transmit event. The combination of the channel data may be computing an arithmetic mean, which is then multiplied to a weighting coefficient. This value may then be removed from the individual channel data. The modified channel data is then transmitted to a beamformer, which processes the channel data for directional signal transmission and reception.
