  • Patent number: 5975240
Abstract: A safety platform foldable structure for a ladder for a worker to stand on. The platform structure has a platform flooring in the shape of the letter H which is removably mountable to one rung of an upstanding ladder to an open horizontal or vertical closed position. Spaced apart hook mechanisms extending from the flooring, are releasably secured to the rung to assist holding the platform in the horizontal position and to hold the platform in the vertical closed position. Downwardly extending front side walls from the flooring engage rails on the ladder to secure the platform in the horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 5862881
Abstract: Safety scaffold or platform foldable structures for ladders are disclosed. The scaffold structure embodies an elongated expandable scaffold floor section which is removably connected to two spaced apart upstanding ladders. Male and female floor sections are expanded to the desired length and locked in place by a locking pin. Spaced apart double hook hinges are releasably secured to one rung on each ladder. Wedge mechanisms work in conjunction with the hook hinges engaging the ladder rails to secure the scaffold structure in the horizontal open working position. The platform structure in the form of the letter H is removably connected to two adjacent rungs of a single ladder. The pair of hook arms hook around the upper rung and a pair of bottom arms support the structure on the lower rung. Descending wedge mechanisms engage the ladder rails in supporting the platform structure in the horizontal open working position.

  • Patent number: 5522938
Abstract: A method and apparatus for particle removal in supercritical fluids using a single frequency acoustic wave. A wafer (114) is placed in a process chamber (110) and cleaning gas is introduced through inlet port (116). The cleaning fluid is heated to at least the critical temperature of the cleaning fluid and may also be pressurized. A sonic wave is generated in process chamber (110) by sonic transducer (122) to create alternating bands of gas phase (G) and supercritical phase (SC) of the cleaning fluid. The sonic wave is preferably a traveling wave such that the gas (G) and supercritical (SC) phases move across the surface of wafer (114) removing contaminants from the wafer (114) and trapping them in the acoustic wave. The contaminants are then removed from the system with spent cleaning fluid through outlet port (118).

  • Patent number: 4332145
Abstract: System for making frozen food article comprises a refrigeration source of high capacity, a food-freezing chamber normally maintained at ambient temperature and of low thermal capacity, a source of food or vegetable juice or puree for freezing, and a controller. The controller controls the refrigeration source to maintain an adequate supply of chilled coolant, controls the discharge of the coolant liquid to a coolant jacket around the frozen food chamber for rapid chilling, controls the discharge of food material to the chamber, controls the beating of the food material while it is freezing, and finally controls the discharge of the resultant beaten frozen food article into a receiving cup.
