Publication number: 20250142747Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for managing chassis of data processing systems are disclosed. The chassis may be managed by reversibly attaching them to structural members such as rails. When so attached, the chassis may be fixedly held in a position. To facilitate access to an interior of the chassis, the chassis may be detached from the structural member and moved to a maintenance position. To detach the chassis from the structural member, the chassis may include a latch. The latch may be positioned in an ear of the chassis and may be protected by a frame. The frame may include a recess, hole, or other feature to facilitate access to the latch. The access may allow application of force to a single portion of the latch to rotate or otherwise actuate the latch. Actuation of the latch may facilitate detachment of the chassis from the structural member.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: PETER TIMOTHY CLARK, MATTHEW BRYAN GILBERT, RICHARD WILLIAM GUZMAN, SEAN P. O'DONNELL

Publication number: 20250142755Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for providing computer implemented services are disclosed. To provide the computer implemented services, a data processing system may include various hardware components. To secure the various hardware components, the data processing system may include a security bezel. The security bezel may have a structure that includes structural members that form a partial covering for a two-dimensional surface. A structural member of the structural members may be adapted to span a distance between two points of the surface and resist deformation due to force applied to the structural member. The structural member may also include a portion of a sheet of material that is folded so that two sub-portions of the portion of the sheet of material are in different planes that intersect along a line.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: SEAN P. O’DONNELL, NICHOLAS LENN POTERACKI

Publication number: 20250142760Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for providing computer implemented services are disclosed. To provide the computer implemented services, a data processing system may include various hardware components within an interior of a chassis. To provide sufficient illumination to enable visibility and interaction with the hardware components, the data processing system may include an integrated service light adapted to illuminate portions of the data processing system. To integrate the service light, the data processing system may include a service light receiver that is positioned with an ear of the chassis and adapted to receive the service light to, at least temporarily, retain the service light in a first position and a first orientation. By doing so, the service light may enable visibility and interaction with the hardware components without limiting access to the hardware components.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventor: SEAN P. O’DONNELL

Publication number: 20250139306Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for providing computer implemented services are disclosed. To provide the computer implemented services, a data processing system may include various hardware components within an interior of a chassis. To secure the various hardware components, the data processing system may include a security system. The security system may include a security bezel and a sled for limiting movement of the chassis. To do so, the sled may reversibly attach to a rail on which the chassis is positioned and reversibly fixedly attach to the security bezel to a position on the chassis. Patent number: 12213264Abstract: A server information handling system is secured by a bezel that couples to an access location, such as an air vent at a front or rear face of a housing. The bezel includes a security structure having a lock and configured to couple directly at the front face or with a bezel extension at the rear face so that the server information handling system can use the same bezel with both a front face or rear face rack mount. The bezel has a lock integrated with the security structure, an air filter that fits over the security structure to filter air flowing into the housing, and a filter brace that captures the air filter by coupling to the security structure over the air filter. The filter brace attaches and detaches at the security structure when the security structure locks a server information handling system housing so that the air filter can be changed while the housing remains secure.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2021Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Peter T. Publication number: 20240394950Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for concurrently presenting two synchronized animations based on an input value that is received through an input interface of a device. The method defines, based on the received input, a first animation that presents a first animated object, and then uses a set of attributes of the first animation to define a second animation that presents a second animated object. The method then displays at least portions of the first and second animations concurrently. In some embodiments, the method displays the first and second animations on a display screen of the device, or on a display screen connected to the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2024Publication date: November 28, 2024Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventor: Sean P. O'Brien
