Patent number: 10098553Abstract: Systems and methods for correlating diagnostic readings obtained by at least two medical devices can include a pressure offset correction parameter that is calculated for the purpose of correlating oscillometric blood pressure readings between a “home” blood pressure monitor and an “office” blood pressure monitor. The offset correction parameter is used to adjust blood pressure readings of the “home” or “office” blood pressure monitor such that these readings can be validly compared with blood pressure readings obtained using the other blood pressure monitor. In this manner, a more complete and reliable blood pressure trend may be developed and used for managing blood pressure related medical conditions.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2012Date of Patent: October 16, 2018Assignee: Welch Allyn, Inc.Inventors: Shawn C. St. Pierre, Sean R. Karla, Lari E. Rutherford

Patent number: 9327866Abstract: Systems and apparatuses directed to cartons with user selectable dispensing configurations. An example carton for dispensing a plurality of products stored therein includes a first removable feature configured to be selectively removed from a top surface to enable removal of a portion of a first end; a second removable feature configured to be selectively removed from the top surface to enable removal of a portion of a second end; and a third removable feature configured to be selectively removed from the top surface to enable removal of a portion of the top surface. The carton defines a closed configuration and a dispensing configuration that is defined by at least one of the portion of the first end being removed, the portion of the second end being removed, or the portion of the top surface being removed. Methods for manufacturing a carton with user selectable dispensing configurations are also contemplated.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2013Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: WELCH ALLYN, INC.Inventors: John R. Patent number: 8827317Abstract: A medical device adaptor includes a housing defining a mounting port and a circumscribing outer wall, a fluid passage extending substantially through the adaptor to the mounting port, and a pair of mounting shoulders spaced circumferentially along the outer wall. The pair of mounting shoulders extend transverse from the outer wall. The medical device adaptor also includes an insert disposed within the mounting port. The insert defines a thru hole at least partially aligned with the fluid passage.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2010Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignee: Welch Allyn, Inc.Inventors: Sean R.
