  • Patent number: 11580499
Abstract: In a computer-implemented method for information retrieval and a processing system of a computer-implemented information retrieval system, an input text is received by a Natural Language Processing, NLP, suite, wherein the NLP suite comprises a plurality of models. At least one of the plurality of models is a model trained using selected features. The selected features are determined using a feature selection process. The input text is processed by each one of the plurality of models. An intermediate representation of the input text is generated by each one of the plurality of models. An enhanced representation of the input text is generated by combining a plurality of the generated intermediate representations. Information is retrieved based on the enhanced representation of the input text.

  • Publication number: 20160289059
Abstract: A caddy for use in supporting a flexible bag of a substance to dispense as well as a system for dispensing a substance include a front wall and a back wall. A floor extends between the front wall and the back wall and angles from the back wall in a direction towards the front wall a cradle is connected to the floor and the cradle opens in a downward direction and a rearward direction. A dispenser includes a cabinet, a load cell, a valve, and a processor. The cradle engages the load cell and the processor calculates a valve open time at least in part based upon a measurement of a load impressed upon a load cell and a requested dispense volume. The processor operates the valve to open for the calculated valve open time.

  • Publication number: 20080110281
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the flow rate of bitumen froth through a pipeline is provided. A flow meter device is provided including a conduit comprising an approach section having a diameter less than the diameter of the pipeline and a venturi section having in series a converging section, a throat section and, optionally, a diverging section, the converging section of the venturi section being disposed relative to the approach section, and a means for measuring the pressure difference ?P between two points that are separate from one another in the flow direction, one point being on the approach section and the other point being on the throat section. In one embodiment, a heating means for heating the conduit is provided.

  • Patent number: 6391190
Abstract: Aerated bitumen froth obtained from oil sands must be deaerated so that it can be pumped through a pipeline. Mechanical shearing is effective to deaerate bitumen froth to an air content of below 10 volume percent. Mechanical deaeration of bitumen froth can be achieved either by passing the froth through a confining passageway and shearing the froth with an impeller while it is in the passageway or temporarily retaining the aerated froth in a tank and circulating it repeatedly through a pump.
