  • Patent number: 9158126
Abstract: An adjustable eyewear temple system is disclosed. The system includes both a substantially rigid temple piece and a flexible cable temple piece, wherein the cable temple piece extends through a channel along the inside of the rigid temple piece. An adjustment piece allows the cable temple piece to be stored within the rigid temple piece when not needed. The system appears to a passerby as a standard temple piece due to the location of the channel and adjustment piece on the inside.

  • Patent number: 9154115
Abstract: A system and method to efficiently use a plurality of ‘receivers’ to monitor a larger plurality of ‘sources’ for audio content. Upon identifying that a source is active, one of the plural receivers is assigned to convey the content to a destination. All other receivers are prevented from monitoring that specific source for the duration of its activity, but continue to monitor the remaining sources. ‘Source’ includes any source of information containing audio content. ‘Receiver’ includes any device capable of selectively conveying such content, including physical switches, hardware or software multiplexers, microphones, radio receivers, or any other means of obtaining such content.

  • Publication number: 20150270090
Abstract: A high-power magnetron assembly includes a high-power magnetron and a compact magnetic field generator. The high-power magnetron includes a cathode configured to emit electrons in response to receiving a supply of voltage from a power supply. The high-power magnetron includes an anode configured to concentrically surround the cathode and to attract the emitted electrons across an interaction region between the cathode and the anode. The compact magnetic field generator includes a plurality of permanent magnets including: a cathode magnet that has a longitudinal axis of symmetry annularly and that is surrounded by the cathode and disposed within the magnetron; and an anode magnet configured to annularly surround an outer perimeter of the magnetron. An arrangement of the plurality of permanent magnets concentrically about the longitudinal axis of symmetry forms a specified magnetic field within the interaction region that bounds the electrons emitted within the interaction region.

  • Publication number: 20150268170
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting an energy emission event are provided. In a method for detecting an energy emission event, a reference event signal is compared with a received event signal. In some embodiments, the reference event signal is associated with radiated energy having a predetermined temporal response. A detection signal is output when the received event signal corresponds to the reference event signal. In response to outputting the detection signal, imagery of a location in proximity to where the received event signal originated is captured or processed. Using the captured imagery and the detection signal, a determination of where the received event signal originated is made.

  • Publication number: 20150157807
Abstract: The subject invention provides a safety pen needle assembly which includes: a hub; a needle carrier; a needle fixed to the needle carrier; a shield; and, a first engageable locking arrangement for fixing the shield to the needle carrier. Upon a predetermined extent of distal movement of the shield relative to the hub, the first locking arrangement is engaged such that the shield becomes fixed to the needle carrier. Upon further distal movement of the shield relative to the hub beyond the predetermined extent of distal movement, the shield and the needle carrier move in concert together relative to the hub causing a proximal end of the needle to move distally relative to the hub to a retracted state. Advantageously, the subject invention provides a reliable, low-cost safety pen needle assembly which does not require a spring or other biasing element.

  • Publication number: 20150071458
Abstract: Audio content distribution from audio sources to client terminals through a network. An audio source interface receives raw audio from an audio source, and converts it into a digital audio clip in a digital audio packet, containing a timestamp and a channel identity corresponding to the audio source. A network audio server formats the digital audio packet into a network compliant digital audio file, which is stored at a network address. The network audio server generates a directory packet including the address of the digital audio file, the channel identity, and the timestamp, and, couples the directory packet to a directory server located on the network. The directory server outputs directory packets to a client terminal on the network, which selects a directory packet and sends an audio file request through the network for the digital audio file. The audio file is then sent to the client terminal.

  • Publication number: 20150058333
Abstract: Systems and techniques, including computer program products, for generating sequences of program items. A specification of a sequence is received. A specification of multiple sets, where each set includes one or more program items, is also received. An output sequence of program items is generated by selecting program items from the sets based on the specified sequence. In some implementations, program items are selected by assigning each program item a score, and identifying the program item with the best score. An attribute can be associated with each program item. The attributes can be used to group the program items into sets, to determine the scores of the program items, and to select program items to be placed in the generated output sequence. The rules and the set sequence can be adjusted dynamically, and the generated output sequence can be modified by adding, removing, or replacing program items.
