Abstract: An ostomy support device having a housing extending between a first end and a second end and a base member extending between said first end and said second end. A cavity adapted for protective positioning of a pouch is formed in-between a central portion of an elongated member engaged at both ends to the base member and a facing surface of the base member. One or a plurality of ridges positioned on the elongated member form stiffeners resisting bending of the elongated member. A belt pathway may also be formed between two such ridges positioned on the elongated member.
