  • Patent number: 11949623
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating autonomous synchronization are disclosed herein. For example, a UE may be configured to perform an initial synchronization directly to PSCCH and PSSCH when other synchronization sources, such as GNSS, a base station, and/or SLSS, are unavailable. An example method for wireless communication at a user equipment includes receiving a PSCCH. The example method also includes performing an initial synchronization based on the PSCCH. In some examples, the method may also include receiving a PSSCH, and determining a logical subframe number modulo 10 based on the PSSCH. The logical subframe number modulo 10 may correspond to a sequence seed.

  • Patent number: 11901931
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may filter leaked power from a signal to accurately perform antenna compensation operations (e.g., apply a transmit gain, perform cable loss measurements) using valid power. A switch at the UE may leak power to an antenna for a transmission, and the UE may use a dynamic filtering algorithm to determine whether a pulse power of a detected signal is leaked or valid. The dynamic filtering algorithm may be able to account for variations in leaked power values, as leaked power may increase or decrease proportionally to intended power (e.g., from which power was leaked). By determining whether pulse power is leaked or valid, the UE may be able to filter out the leaked power and accurately perform antenna compensation operations such as applying a transmit gain for a transmission, performing a cable loss measurement, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20230298388
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for road usage charging (RUC) are described. RUC computation may be performed at a vehicle using a vehicle computing device (VCD) that is trusted by a service provider, charger, or both. The VCD may be trusted to collect high accuracy, high resolution time and location data for RUC, and also compute for itself what the RUC charge is according to one or more applicable charge policies that are provided to the VCD. Anonymity related to specific vehicle and location information may be provided by encrypting portions of RUC data that are decryptable by different entities with reduced likelihood of revealing specific vehicle, location, and time information.

  • Patent number: 11290984
Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for filtering and prioritizing incoming messages, which can help reduce and smooth out the processing load on components used to process the incoming messages. Filtering techniques may comprise identifying a subset of nearby vehicles from which messages are to be processed, and further calculating remaining delay budgets with regard to the messages to prioritize them for processing. Different techniques for determining a subset of nearby vehicles can be used, and/or remaining delay budgets may be calculated and/or communicated in different ways.

  • Publication number: 20220060957
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for performing thermal mitigation for one or more devices. For instance, a temperature, humidity, amount of light, and/or other characteristic or factor associated with a vehicle can be obtained. Whether to transition one or more communication functions from the vehicle to a user device can be determined based on the temperature, humidity, etc. In response to a determination to transition the one or more communication functions, the one or more communication functions can be transitioned from a communication unit of the vehicle to a communication unit of the user device.

  • Patent number: 11140641
Abstract: Aspects directed towards synchronizing out of coverage (OOC) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications are disclosed. In one example, a scheduled entity detects a loss of a synchronization signal associated with a V2X communication by detecting when a timing uncertainty value or error value is greater than a threshold value. Packet timing information is then received in response to the loss of the synchronization signal from at least one user equipment (UE) synchronized with the synchronization signal. The scheduled entity then maintains the V2X communication by performing a timing adjustment based on the packet timing information.
