  • Patent number: 7044311
Abstract: A cask support allows housing two casks (9) therein (1), such that the casks (9) will be arranged in a staggered manner when multiple supports are stacked together. Each support (1) includes two bedplates (2) with a seating for housing a cask (9). A carriage (10) formed by a rectangular platform is mounted to the framework of the support (1) with two brackets (15) with wheels (17) fixed to the carriage (10) which can move along each bedplate (2), and two other brackets (16) with wheels (19) fixed to the support and on which the platform of the carriage (10) slides. The carriage (10) has freedom of movement parallel to the bedplate (2). Each cask (9) rests on four rotating wheels (14) which are disposed on the vertices of the framework of the carriage (10). The cask support is especially applicable in large wine aging cellars.

  • Patent number: 6536612
Abstract: A support for casks includes a base structure having (a) stanchions which can be disassembled or folded down, (b) complementary intermediate stanchions which can be disassembled or folded down, and (c) pivots or housings for forming mortised connections to the free ends of the stanchions or intermediate stanchions of subjacent supports. The pivots or housings are out of alignment with respect to the stanchions and intermediate stanchions, such that the supports and casks supported thereon are arranged in staggered, parallel rows when stacked. The support can also include a plurality of freely rotating wheels such that the casks seated thereon can be rotated on their axes.

  • Patent number: 6523706
Abstract: A support for casks includes a base structure containing four feet, four frames, and at least two crosspieces. The frames include two upwardly divergent lower tubes, and two vertical upper tubes. Each of the vertical upper tubes is connected to an end portion of one of the upwardly divergent lower tubes. The feet are adapted to rest on a ground surface or on another of the supports. Each of the frames is joined to one of the feet, and the upper tubes are perpendicular to a plane defined by an upper surface of the feet. A first pair of frames is situated in a first plane and secured to each other by an adjacent pair of vertical tubes. A second pair of frames is situated in a second plane, which is parallel to the first plane. The second pair of frames is connected to the first pair by the crosspieces.

  • Publication number: 20020088763
Abstract: Intended to support two laterally adjacent casks (6), and incorporating a base structure (1), stackable, in which vertical and lateral stanchions take part, for stacking the supports, its characteristics focus on the incorporation of a pair of intermediate stanchions (5′) which, along with the establishment of pivots or housings (8) on the base platform (1) intended to join to the free end of said stanchions (5-5′), out of alignment with respect to the latter, allow the supports to be arranged in staggered, parallel rows when stacked, and thus the same arrangement for the casks (6), which are thus more easily accessible. In addition, the rods (7) which constitute the fixed resting place for the casks (6) may be replaced by sets of wheels (22) to facilitate the rotation of the casks on their own axes, to at the same time facilitate accessibility to said casks.

  • Patent number: 6170686
Abstract: The container has a pallet-like base platform (1), provided with short vertical tubes (5) at its vertices, into which two side panels (7-7′) can be inserted, which are definitively secured to the base platform with the aid of pressure-activated joining clips (16-17), while the back wall (20) and front wall (21) are subsequently secured to said side panels (7-7′) with the aid of clamping pins (24), formed by a roughly rectangular rod, open at one of its vertices, one of whose end sections can be fitted into aligned holes (18-19) on the panels, while the rest of the rod acts as a clamp which appropriately connects the vertical posts to be joined. Thus, the container is easily assembled and disassembled without threaded fasteners, by means of the aforementioned clips (16) and clamping pins (24).
