  • Publication number: 20200369170
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a charging station for charging electric vehicles. The charging station includes: at least two charging points, which are each connectable to an electric vehicle for charging an electric energy store of the electric vehicle; at least two rectifier branches for providing electrical energy, the rectifier branches being electrically connectable to the charging points and the electrical connection being switchable between at least one of the rectifier branches and the charging points; at least one energy meter for providing meter values which describe the electrical energy provided by the rectifier branches; and at least one meter value acquisition computer configured to determine, for each of the charging points, the amount of the electrical energy provided by the rectifier branches electrically connected to the charging point based on the meter values of the at least one energy meter.

  • Publication number: 20200252235
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for providing data packets (5) from a CAN bus (2), in particular a charging station for a motor vehicle. In order to permit a resource-saving and nevertheless secure possible way of providing data packets (5), steps are provided: detection of the data packets (5) from at least one component (3) of the CAN bus (2) by a detection unit (10) which is part of the CAN bus (3), creation of at least one web resource (6) which contains the data packets (5) in accordance with a predetermined specification by a computing unit (11), wherein only data packets (5) which are related in accordance with the predetermined specification are combined in the at least one web resource (6), transmission of a content of the at least one web resource (6) from the computing unit (11) to a receiving device (4) by means of a communication unit (12) via a data link (7) having a transmission protocol that differs from the CAN bus (2).

  • Patent number: 10717409
Abstract: The method for a two-stage authorization of a charging operation includes a first stage and a second stage. In the first stage, a control device allocated to the charging station receives a terminal-side proof of authorization transmitted from a mobile terminal device. The first personal authorization of the charging station user is verified on the basis of the terminal-side proof of authorization, without any action of the charging station user being required. With the given first authorization, the charging cable is released. In the second stage, the vehicle-side proof of authorization is received and verified after the vehicle has been connected to the charging cable, whereupon in response to verification of the vehicle-side proof of authorization, a second authorization is carried out, due to which the charging operation is approved.
