  • Publication number: 20240116474
Abstract: A method for locking and releasing a securing device of a vehicle coupling of a vehicle includes switching the securing device between a locked state and a released state by a control command output by an authorization unit where the authorization unit outputs the control command after receiving an initiation command transmitted to the authorization unit by an interface and where a wireless communication interface and a local physical interface are useable as the interface. Sensor data, generated by a sensor that monitors surroundings of the vehicle, is transmitted via the wireless communication interface to a control center. The initiation command is transmitted to the vehicle by the control center via the wireless communication interface as a function of the sensor data. When there is no communication connection between the control center and the vehicle, it is only possible to output the initiation command via the local physical interface.

  • Patent number: 11634119
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a parking position for a motor vehicle, wherein a perpendicular parking space is detected by means of a sensor system of the motor vehicle, and a parking space data set characterizing the perpendicular parking space is provided to a control unit of the motor vehicle, and the parking position is determined by the control unit by using the parking space data set, as well as by using an access parameter of the motor vehicle that characterizes a possible opening of at least one folding element of the motor vehicle. The invention provides that the parking position is established using an additional access parameter of an additional motor vehicle that is parked adjacent to the parking position. Moreover the invention relates to a driver assistance system and a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11453397
Abstract: An assistance System for a vehicle for providing an emergency stop assistance function that includes an execution device to execute the emergency stop assistance function using at least one of a plurality of activation stages; a detection device for automatic detection of driver inactivity, in order to activate the emergency stop assistance function using a first stage selection of the activation stages; a triggering device for monitoring an operating element of an electrical parking brake or a parking lock of a transmission of the vehicle, in order to activate the emergency assistance function using a second stage selection of the activation stages, which differs from the first stage selection, in the case of a manual activation of the operating element.

  • Patent number: 11433862
Abstract: A driving assistance system for a transportation vehicle, a corresponding transportation vehicle, and a corresponding operating method. The driving assistance system for supporting the longitudinal control of the transportation vehicle identifies an obstacle ahead of the transportation vehicle based on environment data. According to a first functionality, the driving assistance system causes emergency braking to bring the transportation vehicle to a standstill to avoid a collision. According to a second functionality, the driving assistance system causes a longitudinal control intervention that is reduced compared to the emergency braking to slow down the transportation vehicle once the obstacle is detected and before the transportation vehicle has approached the obstacle to such an extent that the collision is only prevented by emergency braking.

  • Patent number: 11373534
Abstract: A method for providing map data in a first transportation vehicle wherein position data is detected by second transportation vehicles concerning people detected by the second transportation vehicles in a surrounding area of the respective second transportation vehicles and is transmitted to a central data-processing unit so that at least one route which is at least partly used by at least some of the people is specified by the central data processing unit based on the aggregated position data and that route data of the specified at least one route is provided as part of the map data in the first transportation vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10232880
Abstract: A method and a device for controlling the lane-keeping of a motor vehicle, wherein the motor vehicle has a lane-keeping assistant with at least the states inactive and active, which lane-keeping assistant is used to keep the vehicle in the driver's own lane. The method includes checking whether the vehicle has drifted into the opposite lane; checking whether there is opposing traffic in the opposite lane; activating the lane-keeping assistant if the vehicle has drifted and there is opposing traffic; controlling the lane-keeping assistant with respect to the oncoming object by active steering intervention, wherein the oncoming vehicle is interpreted as a lane boundary of the driver's own lane.
