  • Patent number: 10505910
Abstract: A patient monitor for monitoring a patient includes a sensor interface (106), a communication interface (108), a user interface (114), and a patient identification unit (115) for identifying the patient to be monitored. A processor (120) processes obtained sensor signals, received information and/or user input to obtain patient-related data, and a controller (121) controls said communication interface (108) to retrieve patient context information including information related to the patient, once the patient has been identified by the patient identification unit (115), available in a central administration system (102) from said central administration system (102) and/or other patient monitors (100b-100n) and controls said processor (120) to take received patient context information into account in the processing to obtain patient-related data.

  • Patent number: 10095838
Abstract: A patient monitoring system includes a display that displays a plurality of sectors including one or more icons. A controller is configured to display patient data received from a patient monitoring system in a corresponding sector of the display. The controller programmed to determine patient status from the patient data and display the patient status as an icon on the display. The icon is color-coded with the severity or deviation from normal of the patient status. The icon can also include an arrow that indicates if the patient status is improving or deteriorating.

  • Publication number: 20130338543
Abstract: A system (108) detects deterioration of a patient of a medical institution. A processor(152)receives attended physiological data for the patient from a user interface or a patient monitoring system (102) and obtains a baseline patient score from the attended physiological data and a scoring table. The scoring table is received from a memory (118). The processor (152) further receives physiological data, including at least one of unattended physiological data and attended physiological data, which includes measurements of one or more of the physiological parameters of the patient, from a patient monitoring system (102) for the patient. Scores of the physiological data measurements are compared to corresponding most recent attended physiological data measurements using the scoring table. A clinician is notified of patient deterioration if the score of one or more physiological data measurements has deteriorated as compared to the scores of the corresponding most recent attended physiological data measurements.

  • Publication number: 20090289799
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system (1) of medical monitoring. Furthermore the present invention relates to a computer program for controlling a medical monitoring system (1). In order to provide an improved monitoring technique that allows a more effective analysis of monitored data, a medical monitoring method is provided, the method comprising the steps of acquiring medical data of a patient, analyzing the medical data with respect to a number of event parameters (17, 18, 19, 20), whereas a number of user-definable trigger conditions (10) are assigned to each of the event parameters (17, 18, 19, 10), and in case a number of said trigger conditions (10) are detected providing medical context information (15) and activating an event notification (22). In other words, not only is medical information (15) provided, additionally an event notification (22) is activated, if a number of trigger conditions (10) are detected.
