Patent number: 10363793Abstract: A novel housing for an electronic device is located in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The housing is used to maintain the temperature of the electronic device within its operating temperature range. The housing includes air inlets and outlets through which the temperature-regulated air current from the air conditioning system of the vehicle passes. The temperature-regulated air currents from the air conditioning system that are used to maintain a comfortable temperature in the passenger compartment are also used to regulate the temperature of the electronic device. Thus, the housing allows the temperature of the electronic device to be regulated exclusively using the air current from the air conditioning system. The air duct from the air conditioning system can be connected directly to the housing or can end a distance from the housing so that the air current from the duct is directed to strike the outside of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2013Date of Patent: July 30, 2019Assignee: Mekra Lang GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Werner Lang, Stefan Bauer, Simon Deffner, Sebastian Heger, Matthias Zink

Patent number: 9550456Abstract: A device for adjusting rear view mirrors includes a vehicle-side first element and a movable second element. A reflecting surface is attached to the second element. One of the first or second elements has a concave surface, and the other element has a convex surface. The second element pivots about at least one axis that is fixed with respect to the first element. A joining slot is formed where the convex surface slides over the concave surface. One of the elements has a sealing lip that makes sliding contact with the other element and prevents foreign objects from entering the slot between the convex surface and the concave surface. The sealing lip annularly contacts either the convex surface or the concave surface. Alternatively, the concave surface is formed by a spherical shell, and the sealing lip slides over a second convex surface disposed on the shell opposite the concave surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2015Date of Patent: January 24, 2017Assignee: Mekra Lang GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20150321609Abstract: Described is an bearing arrangement (2) for rotatable bearing of at least one indirect sight system, for example in the form of a rear-view mirror (4), in particular an external rear-view mirror, to a motor vehicle, especially a utility vehicle, with a first bearing part (8) and a second bearing part (10), which are connected to one another rotationally on a rotational axis (A). The first bearing part (8) is a support or mirror arm (12) with at least one area of join (14) e.g. arranged for the rear-view mirror (4) and in the form of a cylinder (16), which with regard to the rotational axis (A) has rotation-symmetrical lateral surfaces (18). The second bearing part (10) can be fixed to a bodywork part (6) of the motor vehicle and has at least one bearing surface encompassed by the lateral surface (18) of the first bearing part (8) at least in sections. The first bearing part (8) is formed from a metal spigot encased in plastic (38), which is connected with the mirror arm (12) in a torque-proof way.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2015Publication date: November 12, 2015Inventors: Werner Lang, Sebastian Heger

Patent number: 9156404Abstract: A tubular frame section directly or indirectly attached to the vehicle and a mirror unit, attached by a clamping connection to the tubular frame section, whereby the mirror unit in interconnection to an adapter is attached to the tubular frame section. The adapter, which is torque-proof, displacement-resistant and coupleable with a fastening section of the mirror unit, can balance the diameter difference between the fastening section of the mirror unit and the tubular frame section. An inner contour of the adapter is designed so that the adapter can be connected in a form lock for the accurate attachment of the mirror unit to the tubular frame section in such a way that a longitudinal movement of the adapter on the tubular frame section is hindered and the degrees of freedom of the adapter are at least limited in the circumferential direction of the tubular frame section.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2011Date of Patent: October 13, 2015Assignee: MEKRA LANG GMBH & CO. KGInventors: Sebastian Heger, Werner Lang
