  • Publication number: 20220234255
Abstract: A method for recycling of laminated glass is disclosed. The laminated glass comprises at least one glass layer and at least one polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The method comprises mechanical removal of at least part of the glass, placing residual waste with glass particles in a vat comprising a separation fluid to produce a mixture of glass particles and one polyvinyl butyral (PVB) pieces from the residual waste, from which the one polyvinyl butyral (PVB) pieces can be screened off, washed, and dried for reuse. The separation fluid comprises water and butyl diglycol.

  • Publication number: 20200238679
Abstract: A facility 300 for separation of layers in a multilayer system 310. The facility 300 comprises one or more baths 320a, 320b for accepting the multilayer system 310 and a dispenser 330 for providing a separation fluid 340. The separation fluid 340 comprises a nanoscale dispersion for washing the multilayer system in the baths 320a, 320b and is described in more details below. The facility 300 also includes a filtration device 350 for filtering separated undissolved components of the multilayer system 310.

  • Patent number: 10682788
Abstract: A method for recycling of packaging material (300) is disclosed. The packaging material (300) comprises a multiple layer material (10) comprising a metal layer (50), at least one polymer layer (20, 40, 60) and, optionally, a paperboard layer (30). The method comprises placing the residual waste in a vat (360) comprising a separation fluid (375) to produce a mixture of metal shreds from the metal layer (50), plastic shreds from the polymer layer (20, 40, 60) and residual components. The separation fluid comprises a mixture comprising at least one swelling agent and at least one carboxylic acid.

  • Patent number: 10618268
Abstract: A separating fluid, method and use for separating multilayer systems, especially photovoltaic modules, for the purpose of recycling, which allow the separation of multilayer systems. Especially photovoltaic modules, in comparatively simple manner in terms of the processes used, in as environmentally friendly a manner as possible, at high recycling rates. For this purpose, the separating fluid is a nanoscale dispersion or a precursor thereof.
