  • Patent number: 11922330
Abstract: An apparatus for estimating a physical state of a movable object includes a processor receiving or determining a probability mass function including probabilities for each of a first group of at least two movement classes, wherein the movement models of the first group being determined using sensor data from the inertial measurement unit. The processor receives at least one additional probability mass function associated with a second group of at least two movement classes, wherein the additional probability mass function has been obtained using additional information different from the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20230324501
Abstract: Methods and systems related to neural networks or other function approximators operate for training a neural network is provided, or another function approximator, for inferring a predetermined time of arrival of a predetermined transmitted signal on the basis of channel-impulse-responses, CIRs, of transmitted signals between a mobile antenna and a fixed antenna, the method having: obtaining a channel impulse response condition characteristic, CIRCC, descriptive of channel impulse responses of transmitted signals associated with mobile antenna positions within a reach of the fixed antenna; generating, by simulation, a training set of simulated CIRs which are associated with different times of arrival in one or more simulated scenes, and which fit to the CIRCC; training the neural network, or other function approximator, using the simulated CIRs and the different associated times of arrivals to obtain a parametrization of the neural network, or other function approximator, associated with the CIRCC.

  • Patent number: 11701564
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a system for determining a game scenario in a sports game, the system including a player module being attachable to a player, an equipment module being attachable to a sports equipment to be used in the sports game, and a computing unit. The computing unit may be configured to receive player based data from the player module and equipment based data from the equipment module, the player based data representing an activity profile of the player and the equipment based data representing a motion profile of the equipment. The computing unit may further be configured to determine, based on the activity profile of the player and on the motion profile of the equipment, one of a plurality of game scenarios involving the player and the equipment.

  • Publication number: 20220286812
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for a network entity (NE) to optimize positioning of a user equipment, UE where the reliability of the positioning of a UE depends on static circumstances and situational/environmental circumstances. Static circumstances are the sensor capabilities and sensor quality related to the UE and general system limitations, and they remain the same regardless of the position of the UE. Situational or environmental circumstances depend on the situation or environment of the UE, and they change with the position and/or other physical states of the UE. The invention teaches that the NE request a quality report from a measurement unit (MU) to enable the MU to report on quality changes due to situational or environmental circumstances to the NE in order to enable the NE to decide on the best positioning method for the UE in the current situation.

  • Publication number: 20220264257
Abstract: An apparatus for determining a position of a user device, UE, in a wireless communication system, the wireless communication system comprising one or more of moving transmission reception points, TRPs, wherein the apparatus is configured to: initiate one or more procedures to perform one or more measurements between the UE and the moving TRP, and to obtain one or more measurement results; and receive at least one message from the moving TRP comprising a position information of the moving TRP; wherein the apparatus is capable to estimate the position of the UE using the measurement result and the position of the moving TRP.
