  • Publication number: 20140346766
Abstract: The invention relates to an optically variable element as well as a method for the production thereof. In a first area the optically variable element has at least one first color region which in the event of illumination generates a color dependent on the angle of observation and/or angle of illumination. The first color region has two or more zones (41 to 47) arranged next to each other. The two or more zones arranged next to each other have in each case a width and/or length dimension of less than 300 ?m. In at least one first zone (41) of the zones (41 to 47) of the first color region a thin-film interference filter (15) is provided with at least one interference layer (17). The interference layer (17) of the thin-film interference filter (15) has a first average thickness (d1) in the first zone (41).

  • Publication number: 20140259688
Abstract: A nipper includes two crossing levers movably connected at a joint, each lever has a finished distal portion with a blade, an unfinished proximal portion, and a coil-spring connector at a junction of the distal and proximal portions. A hollow coil spring has ends each connected to a respective connector and visually covering the proximal portion thereof. A method for manufacturing the nipper includes providing the levers with a nipper blade at the finished distal portion, the unfinished proximal portion at a proximal end of the distal portion, and the coil-spring connector at a junction of the distal and proximal portions. The two levers are movably connected at the joint to form a nipper with the blades. The proximal portion of each lever is visually covered by sliding each end of the coil spring over the respective proximal portion and securing each end thereof at the respective coil-spring connector.

  • Publication number: 20140053824
Abstract: A lid for a cooking vessel, in particular, of a cooking pot includes a plurality of shaped elements projecting downwards at the underside of the lid. The shaped elements are flat or curved concavely and respectively form a planar lower surface that accumulates condensate, is enclosed in a U-shaped manner, slopes towards the edge of the lid, and leads to a drip off edge at its lowest location.
